So ive been getting a bit nostalgic lately and decided to make a toon the old fashion way. I wanted to go back to my roots. Bone armor, sweet as hell pure black robe, a GM spear... Yeah, all that. I decided to throw lockpicking on my guy and wanted to do some low level dungeon stuff. I started with 50 lockpicking and I cant find a SINGLE dungeon chest I can pick!!! Where are yall hiding all the low level chests! I want my 30 gold and my random clothing! Thanks in advance.
If the dungeon chest difficulty hasn't been tweaked from OSI, you'll need 52 lock picking to start. Also, some level 1's require 55ish. Grab yourself new a carpenter's chest to practice with or liberate some loot from town chests to skill up. I recommend 60 before hitting dungeon chests. Side note: Anyone here remember fur armor and black dye tubs IN chests as rare spawn? Another side note: Not to derail you but have you considered a career in camp prisoner rescue? Lots of fun template specialization if made specifically for the task and I "think" you can start with 50 LP. I have done no testing or verification but, it would appear that two different chests spawn with the kidnapped victim. The one on the right being the lesser in difficulty of the two. He was a battle hardened tinker forced out of retirement to recover lost artifacts and ransomed hostages from the clutches of evil. One man, on de-si-er... he is, Matlock! G'luck
