Here is the question I asked Pirul: [Im training lockpicking and seem to not be gaining. Presently at [76.0] real 70.4. Now I did do the HidDetect you suggested in the guides. But I let it run to long and now at 72.5 DH. I switched to the 100/100 box, but get the [you dont see how to manip the lock] message. Skill is turned up and there is room to gain before 700 cap] He's as puzzled as I am as to why no gains, especially with high DH. So I am looking to see if someone has/will make me one so I can see if I will start gaining. Any thoughts are welcome...thanks Cheers
I was actually about to post an update on this. I was able to get my tinker to 70 and made a box. So thank you for the offer. I ran the 70/70 box all night and got all the way to 90.2, then I switched to the 100/100 of the set I bought. Im not sure why I was able to go all that way on a 70/70 box when the guide says switch after like 2.5 with the DH.
Ya the guide is wrong. Had the same problem. You must have had much higher dex than I did though, I think I was around 75 real skill. Raised detect to 40 or so and still couldn't pick it, raised tinkering and made the box myself. I have around 100 70/70 boxes I can give away to people who need them. Guide needs updating.
Updating the guide - there's a lot of real skill checking involved with lockpicking at certain times, so I'm just going to make it a little more ambiguous as a lot of people have gotten mixed results when trying to follow the guide to the T.
