When comparing a lumberjack to a macer how much more damage does the .lumberjack do? (ex: double axe vs. war hammer)
I have both. I have seen the biggest hits (60+dmg) with my warhammer. However, that is pretty darn slow and also only when you get a Crushing Blow. The LJ with the double axe hits for more consistent damage over time, but has never hit above 50 that I've noticed.
Sort of on-topic: how does the DoT and biggest hit compare with a Hally? I've been hunting with a double-axe and 70ish LJ and trying to decide if it'd be better to go with a hally and pick up Disco.
Well, you also need Music for Discordance to work, so you'll have to weigh that in your consideration. The halberd hits nicely but is so slow to swing again the damage over time is actually trash compared to an LJ with a nice axe. Just finish the LJ. The boards are valuable, the template is fun and you have 14 other slots.
I already have music and peace on that character Thanks for the input. I've been pretty pleased with the damage output of my Force double-axe. Now I just need to find a Vanq +25 and I'll be good to go
Also, you can always jump on test center to figure out which skills are the best fit. The combat log book can track damage and +25 vanqs are provided too.
The Combat Log Book Test center has a special item as well to help you determine the exact capabilities of various builds. Test.UORenaissance.com Port 2597 Supplies are provided in your bank and at the west britain bank. Lumberjacking provides a static bonus rather than a percentrage bonus here based on your skill and the use of an axe. (dam you blaise) Final Damage + (Lumberjacking / 10) -1 30 Lumberjacking = +2 Damage 60 Lumberjacking = +5 Damage 99.9 Lumberjacking = +8 Damage 100 Lumberjacking = +9 Damage Keep in mid the targets armor is still taken into account after this calculation.
So, wait, the lumberjacking bonus only applies to one-handed axes? Definitely going to be researching this more on TC tonight.
