Instead of it draining stamina slowly, which can be completely negated by a single Total Refresh potion. Maybe it could be, for war hammers, that when you receive a crushing blow it will temporarily reduce your stamina to 1 which would then make you walk - simulating maybe a "dead leg" or broken ankle for a little bit.

Every other macing weapon should either have the stamina reduction per hit increased a lot or possibly hinder a total refreshes chance of actually refreshing all the stamina.

The stun of fencing and concussion blow are far more effective than macing.

I actually consider macing to be second best. Possibly even better than fencing in some situations.

It's criminally underused here, I think tank mages with macing weapons are great. One of the reasons you don't see people using maces is because healing/scribe/stun punch mages are so overwhelmingly popular - I think we'd see macing tank mages if more people played tank mages here. They're very viable, just not something you see people using because it's not the meta.

I don't think it's a bad choice for a pure dexer, but fencing is so much better because you need the stopping power of para blow having no spells to finish with. I think swords is crap no matter who you are, unless you want a gimmick character for breaking 7x tournaments.

    Maces on a mage
    Fencing on a dexxer
Swords on a RPer (great on detectives too / halbred vs disarm thief)

inscribe/stun mage if you want to win

^ I absolutely LOVE playing a macing tank...

My biggest beef is not being able to keep a large enough stockpile of q-staffs. ;D ... but as soon as I have one I'll likely switch Agent X's fighting skill.

Macing isn't great, but if any combat skill needs a buff, its archery...

I agree.. Archery needs it the most but its hard to say any of them are better than the paralyzing blow of the spear. Its just so good! I can get on board with war hammer slamming your stamina down to 1 and no regen or red pot possibility for 5 seconds or how ever long para blow lasts. Im not 100% but I don't think a short spear will deliver a para blow.

+25 QStaff of Vanq is fucking brutal in the hands of a decent tank mage…

Can stun be broken the same as paralyze? trapped pouches?
