I know there are AMiBs, but I'm wondering if normal MiBs are worth doing. Is there a set amount of gold/loot in them? Is there a chance for anything rare or exciting? I took the hard road when I came here and made a tamer, which I'm not sure I enjoy, so I am flirting with the idea of making a fishervixen. I LOVE fishing, but don't want to be heartbroken. tyia Delph
If you have the patience, they are worth it. Specially if you open a LOT of them altogether. Aprox 8k gold worth of valuables in each one, I think. Look at this thread: http://uorforum.com/threads/i-bought-some-mibs.28745/
The chests themselves have 1,2,3k gold a small amount of regs, scrolls and magic wep/armor. Also a small chance for plat. I don't keep track of loot per chest, but I can say 8k per is way above average for a single chest. I npc vendor the loot/scrolls and I would say average is closer to 4-5k per. Obv, this can go up if you take the time to ID and sort every item and can sell them on vendors. There is also a chance for metal chests which sell quite well. The trick with mibs is doing them in bulk, I have about 2000 that I am pulling up right now
You will average 2k in gold per chest. There were some assumptions made when I came up with 7600 gold per mib 1 - I ran two fishers along with the toon that pulled up the mibs - this increased the number of nets, Amibs, mibs, lvl 1 maps that I gathered during the 210 hours 2 - the price of items was higher when I completed my final evaluation, they are lower now. 3 - I averaged the price of some items as I did not take the time to calculate how many scrolls I had - hopefully I was close Was my math really that wrong in getting to 7600?
But the gold/h drop pretty much if you only have 100 spread out all over the map. I think at least 3-500 is a minimum. To make it fun and worth it.
Sort em in 4 bags NE NW SE SW then plot em on the map so you just have to bring the mibs for the area you fishing in if something happen you not lose to many. Speeds up the fishing and it is safe.
I guess I should create or update a post on how to use the newer razor to get the coordinates easier, then import them into UO Automap
I think you adjust the number of zones you use after how many mibs you got. I use 16 zones. First sort em SE SW NE NW. Then sort each of them in SE both under 100, SE both over 100, SE under over 100 and SE over under 100 and so on.
