Hi all, I'm kinda new to the server but i would like to try organizing an event (oriented to pvp)! I would like to get feed back if its possible as a player to do it w/o people disturbing it or ruining it! First event i would like to try is a Last men standing. I was thinking of doing that at jelhom farm or jelhom pit (if no guard zone). We can do pool of 10 people at start with looser pool ... So players can at least play 2 times. Second event will be a scavenger hunt where u need to find me and kill my character (no count given). On my corpse u will find an item to loot and get it back to an other character. Lets say we do as a try like 5 riddle to see how long it take. To participate at these event a little fee of 1k will be ask to players. The gold will be given to the winner + some prize to be determined (as i said i m kinda new and not that rich!). Another porblem i can see is about my play zone. I m GMT+2 (summer) and i can't afford to play during the night. So event will start at max 9 PM (GMT+2) during the week end. So mostly the saturday or sunday. I think we definitely need some sort of semi-regular event that's just a giant royal rumble or 'grand melee'. A while back last Winter we did do a similar thing. We used our dueling pit on top of Stormhold Castle, I made a entry-way one tile wide 3 long that once you were in you couldn't get back out. (with stone pillars) Then littered the inside of the ring with random equipment, armor, shields swords etc. no magic except scrolls, and few of them. And finally I axed the trash barrel releasing the horde of naked warriors. )
Well about the last men standing, i was thinking about people grabbing the stuff hey wanted! The winner could loot the stuff he wanted ;D
Love the ideas. Jhelom farms is nice as you can draw in a silver serpent Actually, there's some tmap spots on the island, so you could draw in just about any monster you wanted, to add a degree of difficulty. I am also working on getting a secure fortress for event type purposes, in which case the roof would work well too. I think the time is fine for many US players. 3PM EST/12noon PST.
Forget who it was, (Wulver maybe?) but do a search for 'Carmen Sandiego' in the event forum for some ideas on the scavenger hunt.
