    Greetings,

I've run into a somewhat discouraging problem and perhaps I'm doing something incorrectly. I started a very basic warrior to get my feet wet in the game again but I'm finding my character isn't doing any damage even though my skills are each at nearly 70+:

    Anatomy
    Swords
    Tactics
    Healing
    Parrying
    Resist Spells

I've tried every swords weapon I can think of and it's taking me an enormous amount of time to kill pretty much anything. At first I thought it was normal but even after some time and elevated skills, it's taking me 2-5 minutes to kill a single skeleton or zombie in the Brit Graveyard.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    EDIT:
I'm in Despise right now, it took me 13 minutes to kill a single lizardman with 5 of them attacking me... all of which do next to no damage to me.

You will find a really big increase in damage output every 5-10 more points in swords/tactics/anatomy
However you should use at least a weapon of exceptional quality - better use force or power
If you reach 90 you will see that you easy kill earth elements in despise - well you could if you own a silver weapon also go for liches in covetous (dangerous because of possible pks - so be ready to run and recall)

Exceptional/GM Weapons are a huge help, 4 extra damage per hit adds up fast. They also have extra durability.

I suspect the major issue is what Gideon mentioned - your weapons are probably pretty beat up. If you can't find a smith or afford GM weapons, I would advise just replacing your weapon every time you bank your loot. At Brit Graveyard this is easy, you run past the blacksmith on your way to the bank anyways. So the first 35gp of your 3,500 in your pack goes to a new kryss. And just drop the old one on the ground.

Weapons wear out pretty fast. I destroyed my GM katana on my naturalist last night and had to use my halberd. It's taking a beating too and it's a damn pain to find a smithy who's active out of the house.
