Hi there, I have been on this server for 3 and a bit years now and love it. But I have friends long gone and dont think they will ever come back. it would be really nice, if we could have a player gravestone service and a cemetry to put them in so we can visit them? If this could be arranged, we have a way of remembering those players. Cheers, Regi
That Yew cemetery has some monuments for the players we have lost in RL that we know of, but it would be an interesting idea to be able to pay for and place the plat style statues of players, or just a gravestone that can be named and placed by staff for a fee.
i think its slightly disrespectful to be able to purchase a gravestone for someone that no longer plays here to be mixed among people who lost their lives.
Yeah I agree, it would have to be one of the other main cemeteries if it did happen (won't happen), but certainly not that one.
Agreed, let's keep that cemetery for its current purpose. I do like the idea of a Hall of Heroes, but the game also allows you to do that already, without staff intervention. Buy a 1000 plat statue and put it up with a character that has your buddy's name. Done!
Thirded! Maybe in a mausoleum or plaques in one of the undead areas. That way you can say hello to and old friend. Ok, maybe bad idea. Going to leave a flower on a plaque, here come liches, PKs...bad idea. lol
I know at least one that will not come back and I am not thinking about KEK. A Player at Europe shard that I spent lots of time with that got blood poisoning not long ago. The so called Baron of Vesper. A man with wild ideas and that made things happen in game, an damn good event creator.
If we get engravable tombstones as OSI once had (I guess still does) you could create your own memorial. Maybe we could make that a plat reward. That way limited GM work and who cares if people return.
