Heya Everyone! Just wonder if you guys knows a effective way to train up provocation? I have my music up and working on provo, I like to hunt so much training will be while hunting, but is there are was to be afk provo, just for getting a few points up while I cant play? thanks
http://uorforum.com/threads/barding-for-dummies.3313/ There's several people you can get in touch with who will friend you to their home on Ocllo so that you can follow the guide above.
Also, I think Telamon added a Troll to the "young" dungeon in Ocllo to help with lower gains, I don't remember it being there when I started training. Harpy to Troll should do well...
Hit up the Moonglow zoo if you notice the gains from the cages starts to falter. You can ride the zoo until upper 70s, and then you can ask Sir Billy or another provo house owner to let you use their house to provo sailors until GM
Heya! Thanks for the reply, It seemed that the gains stopped at exactly 67 real on the troll against the harpy, so i have to move on to the Zoo, then Ill contact a prov house owner for the last points
fotsvett, i'm not the house owner, but i can get you in (I'm a friend of the house) to help you train, provided there are saliors there already. Hit me up in IRC (same name).
Would be awesome, Thanks alot...I will not be on for several hours couse of work, Ill see if you are online later on and try to contact you Thanks again!
A couple days ago I noticed someone parked a boat with a sailor on it near the sailor spawn and I just pulled another sailor down, set a macro and left it overnight. Next morning I was GM. It is probably still there if anyone else is looking to train and can't/doesn't want to find a training house owner.
I just GM'd 3 provokers. The methods suggested so far do work however, if you're looking for the easy button... PM wylwrk on IRC if you still need some help.
I got to GM provoking half at the Monglow zoo and the rest of the way on a boat at Wyvern Isle in T2A I used this guide: http://uorforum.com/threads/fast-track-guide-to-a-provoke-mage.1646/ the wyvern part is at the bottom. It is really easy and risk free all you need is a boat, which costs 10k (I'm sure a generous patron will lend you one for free cause you're new as they did for me) Also, never use exceptional or slayer instruments to macro, they increase success rate and slow skill gains. If you're looking for the most efficient way to make gold then put taming on your character too. Tamers are currently above and beyond all the other classes in killing monsters. Setting up a tamer is no more expensive than a bard and doesn't even take much longer. However, a pure bard still does fairly well and is easier to setup. Why in the name of Lord British did you make three provokers?!?
