    Hello,

I read the intense guide on spawning rares. Just a few questions. the last replies were a little while ago

Do these still spawn (i don't see anything to tell me that they don't) But do some have good value still. Is it worth the time and effort?

I saw on post that lockpicking is not really needed? is that true. are none of the containers locked?

Stealing seemed to be a must. Are there some things you need to steal even if they are on the floor or something?

Pretty sure I had 1 more question and I can't for the life of me remember what it was. I'll ask when it comes back to me.

    Thanks in advance

All original rares still spawn, some need locking picking/stealing to acquire :)

I hunted rares pretty heavily when I first started not too too long ago. I had decent luck. I made copies of some of the Rare books in Occlo so that I could search for them more efficiently. There are quite a few people looking so you would probably make more money in other pursuits. It can be fun though so if that doesn't bother you then definitely give it a try.

Some do require stealing but there are plenty that don't.

Many of the rares are just sitting there so one big tip is to add the item in question to the "Scavenger" agent so if it's there it'll pick it up for you once you are in range. Many locations have a copy of the item that you can't pick up but that you can still target to add to scavenger. You can also walk through a rare museum and add them rapid fire.

To add to this, GM stealing is required if you want to be able to steal the vase in Britain which is 10 stones and in a crate.

No lockpicking is required since the unlock spell can pop the locks for the stacked ingots and such.

However, while no lockpicking is needed, a rare hunter build can double up nicely with a dungeon lockpicker.

There’s always competition for this part of the game, and there are plenty of items that still have a great value like flasks, beakers, bottles, and others.

If you have any other questions, you can shoot me a line on Discord as well.

    Good luck out there!

I have lockpicking on my thief/rare hunter.

There are level 4 chests near some of the spawning rares such as the cauldron and mushroom.

Picking those chests while checking for the rare allows this toon to basically fund himself by selling to npc's the loot in the chests.
