Thinking about playing here but had a few questions before I make a character. Is pvp here active or is it hard to find fights on here? How is skillgain? Does this shard have an active community are most people afk? Is the shard growing or stays about the same in population?
PvP... depends on what you're used to. It's not a free for all, PvP shard with fights going on everywhere. Others will need to give their opinion. Skill gain is moderate/average. There are certain things you do that work better than others, whether spell or item creation. Overall not that hard at all. A great community and growing. There are core people that have been here since beta, others that have been established in the last 6-9 months, and others within the last month or two. The server definitely has been growing. Also, many are willing to help and answer questions. IRC is a good place to throw out inquires on how to get started, etc. Best of luck and hope to see ya ingame!
PVP here has been off and on, mostly all the updates are pvm/crafter related so most people have been focusing on those aspects. I don't see much pvp because I am a little off schedule than most players here. If you include PK under pvp for whatever reason, then yes there are a few, but it isn't too crazy. The population has greatly increased in the past 4-5 months. Some are macroing, skill gain is slightly quicker than normal but not too fast. However with the pvm perks and events there is incentive to get people out and about from the safety of their home/town.

Shard is growing. As for pvp, it depends. You can go out and make trouble and sometimes get a fight. Sometimes it's hard to find one, though. One thing you may want to keep in mind here if you are serious about pvp is that wands and purple pots are a bit out of control. It's not so bad that I've thrown my hands up in the air about it or anything, just be aware that you will run into people who do nothing but throw purple pots and spam a gheal wand when they start taking damage. I still recommend hanging around, though. I've had some good fights here.
One reason Im leaving another shard is that purple pots and gheal wands are out of control there.... makes me second guess starting here. If they want good pvp they should change that. I'd make wands cost mana
Well, I know exactly how you feel. I suggest giving it a try anyway. Even though there are some here that don't leave home without those things, there are some that play without them. The server has had an influx of pvpers lately, and most of them don't have either the wealth or the desire to go crazy with the wands and pots.
So far no magic clothing/jewelry either, so that is good... I couldn't stand people popping on invis items. :lol:
