I found one last night and was able to defeat the mages as well as their boss (tough fight) other than the chests and the captive, ARE there any special loot items like blood tiles or anything like that to be found?
I did yank the special hued robe and apron off the boss but wasnt sure if anything else could be found inside the tower. I think once the boss is dead the tower vanishes because i went back to search it better but it was gone.
The blood tiles are the rarest item in the spawning towers, I've done a dozen or so towers and only found one blood tile. The clothes are great though, you can get 1109 hued aprons, and a really cool blue hue on the robes (1354), I think there are a few other available hues, but the shadow and blue are by far the best imo.
The 1109 is valuable, as it is the only source on this shard to obtain fresh 1109 cloth that isn't newbied. 1354 is "just" a common NPC hue. You get them when you kill evil mages for example. They spawn on a somewhat random timer in specific locations. Actually there is just one location in the old lands and several (like 7 or 8?) in the Lost Lands.
The one I know of and have deen spawn at the same location is in Ocllo SE of the Orc Fort and NE of Town along the Waterway
Anyone have runes to the locations where they can spawn? I'd be interested to check them out at some point.
Mage tower in Occlo is static, its not the same thing. There is one spawn in the main land, its outside wrong in the big clearing where you can't places houses before the mountain pass into wrong. 8 spawn points in t2a spread through the swamps, desert, and forest areas.
The static one is on the western side of the island, theres one that appears from time to time on the eastern side and looks like a large tower you can buy for a home
The blood tile is a pretty rare drop. I have seen it drop on the mage/warlord corpse and also next to the corpse visible with ctrl-shft. There is a spawning mage/warlord tower on Occlo and the one outside the entrance to Wrong as mentioned. All the other locations are T2A. Some rune lib have a book of Mage tower spawn locations.
