Simply double click the House sign. This method can be used while either inside the house or outside. Who can refresh: Any player who is friend- ed to the house. ( One of your other accounts or other players) Any character on same account as the house owner.
You can even do this while you're inside another house. For house signs that are just outside of reach, you can actually set a double click macro in Razor to refresh the house, even if the door and sign are not visually within range. I haven't done a tile test count, but I can refresh all 3 houses in my forest clearing from the southeast corner of my keep.
