To Celebrate the new year Renaissance will have its first official house decorating contest. Entries will be collected until 1/21/2012 at which time the entrants into each category will be posted here. There will be 5 categories to choose from Best Decorated Large House Includes: Fortress, Castle, Small Keep, Large Keep, Tower Note: Make sure to post a variety of pictures of all decorated areas of the house. Best Decorated Medium House Includes: Sandstone, Log Cabin, Villa, Large Patio, Large Marble Patio, Large Brick, 2 Story. Note: Make sure to post a variety of pictures of all decorated areas of the house. Best Decorated Small House Best Decorated Room Most Unique Design Element Note: Custom Fighting Rink, Hot Tub, Piano, Tree or otherwise illustration of player creativity belongs in this category The Rules Simply post pictures in this thread of your house, make sure to indicate which categories you are entering next to each picture of set of pictures. The higher the resolution the better Any pictures posted between now and the 21st will be considered for judging. On the 21st all of the entries will be posted here. Players will be able to vote once each category For your vote to count you must have an established forum account Player votes will account for 50% of the score, with staff voting accounting for the other 50%. On January 27th the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners from each category will be announced. The Prizes 1st Place in each category will win a trophy and a sign placed on their house signifying their house as a contest winner. 1st place in each category will also get a 30 charge furniture dye tub. 2nd Place in each category will get a 2nd place trophy and a 20 charge furniture dye tub. 3rd Place in each category will get a trophy a 10 charge furniture dye tub Honorable Mentions will receive a 5 charge furniture dye tub. I was going to add brains and hearts and stuff, but for whatever reason you cannot chop up body parts to acquire them. I submit the main room of my fort to the single room category... Wu's Tavern! We have a full bar (with a beer cooler), pool, darts, horseshoes, and an extensive library. Also, for the fowl enthusiast, we have a cock fighting pit, fully equipped! Thank you for your consideration!
This is my entry for the medium house category : I wanted to show you can have a smaller home, and still have functionality, room and a lovely home. I also tried to stay within the natural color scheme of the sandstone house. The stand for the roasted pig are regular logs, turned at two different angles. For the main room and patio I wanted to incorporate items from the 3 holidays. Xmas: the plant. Halloween: the tall candle. Thanksgiving: Turkey feathers. The candelabra stand are fire horns. On the patio, the base for the checker board are turned bronze ingots. Same ingot for the key holder next to front door. The most unique decorating item used, I believe are the parade of turkey feathers used to add design to the patio wall. Hope you all enjoy: Westra whatcha think

is there a compound section? Since its a 3 person town so to speak, in lue of movable prizes may I suggest some tiny encompassing walls, or perhaps a mote.
