Returning to UO after a very long time. Stopped playing a little after Ren came out. Do we have access to tailoring and carpentry repair service contracts?
Hi and welcome back to UO. No we don't have repair deeds. A blacksmith can repair metal items. Also players use "Powder of Fortifying" here on their weapons. It is a black smith bod reward item. Marjo, Governess of Wispfelt irc: Westra
Hi Ryddyk! As far as I'm aware, they do have Blacksmith Repair deeds. I've bought and used from player vendors. Nothing for Carpentry or Tailoring though as far as I know. Welcome to UOR!
Yes we def have blacksmith repair deeds. Tailors or wooden items can only be repaired using powder of fortification.
Tinker repair deeds already exist, they are quite useful for repairing those awesome slayer hatchets However carpentry and tailor repair deeds do not, yet I would like to see them some day! You can make a tinker repair deed the same way you make a smith repair deed, just use tinker tools.
Huh? No... Instruments are made with the carpentry skill. Repair deeds/repairing will never replenish 'uses' on tools, i.e repair a hatchet after using it to lumberjack will have no effect, and you cannot repair tools, (nor instrument uses), however it will replenish HP, as in durability that is lost from use in combat
What do you mean by 'rectified'? I don't think tools or instruments were ever repairable in or out of era (however I don't have much experience with the newer eras), nor do I think they should be, they are consumables... If you could start repairing your instruments you would kill an entire market aspect of the game, you already get a few hundred uses out of one.
