Someone over on the UltimaOnline subreddit asked a good question: Does UOR use or plan to use RunUO's new Fast Movement pathing algorithm? Looks like it would help with lag quite a bit.
It's not relevant here. In conversation with Telamon about this, he had this to say (snippet): <Telamon> So eons ago I coded UOR to use pathing based on the intelligence of the creature <Telamon> dragons use smart pathing, mongbats, use stupid pathing <Telamon> reducing the overall load by 75-80%
Telamon's done a lot towards that goal already, but I'd have to look into it to see if there's anything else to be gained from their stuff.
