Smelting dull copper armor

Hey whats the skill leel to smelt dull copper and other metal armors that have been created?
is it even possible im around 80 smithy and cant smelt things i make...

You need the same level of mining skill as you need to start digging up the ore you're trying to smelt

gonna hijack this real fast. So the Miner treats armor the same as a pile of ore? So if I craft say Valorite armor with my GM smith can the Miner still smelt it down even though she has 0 black smith skill?

My miner was able to smelt dull copper with zero blacksmith

For some reason 0 mining can smelt dull copper armor. But anything after that you need the mining skill that you normally would need as if you were digging the ore, to be able to smelt it.

Yes you can smith on one char and smelt on the other when it comes to higher level ores. Smith isn't required to smelt.
