'Twas the night before Christmas (ok, it was the 22nd but play along)..... - Long story short – PC failed, how long till my house falls? - whole (sob) story: I was about to start my week long binge of UO. See, I need 20 holiday coins to get my Christmas tree. I struggled mightily during the Halloween event and didn't come back with much more then a few orange bags. But this was Christmas. I had to do it. I was planning on getting on IRC and tagging along and if I played long and hard enough I hoped to get my holiday coin and my Christmas tree. About 20 minutes into the beginning of Thursday nights session and my PC just blue screened. normally I could just run the system restore and be good to go. Well it's been several days, numerous failed attempts, re-boot disk and Windows installation disk and I can't get this thing to get back on its feet. How long before my wonderful Brickhouse that I just got placed in the perfect location Falls?
Swap out your RAM for a quick fix. Blue Screen of Death usually has to do with RAM error. One of your sticks probably went bad. Might be able to just swap it out and fix that issue.
OMG, that fast????? I'm hoping I can get over to a friends house this week and download the client there. He will be nice enough to refresh them until I get back on my feet. The only, and I mean only bright side to this is I might be able to get him to play here with us. I will be sure to create three distinctly different accounts for him on his IP address first before logging into my characters and refreshing my house.
Hmm, does your PC just insta blue screen upon trying to boot? Does it pass BIOS post? Any way to snap a pic of your blue screen error and post it?

Doesn't run on older Chromebooks but will run on the newer ones, the more expensive and more powerful ones. In any case you have to go through a lengthy process installing a version of Linux. There is a guide on the interwebs but ensure you have the right chromebook before you start trying. Your best bet is to contact Telamon on IRC. I was gifted a new Microsoft Surface 4 for XMas and this thing is a beast. Already have UO installed on it and ready to roll for when I'm not home.

I had that issue once and just for the hell of it i cleaned the ends of the dead stick of ram with rubbing alcohol and q tip and was able to get it to work again
