Currently, most high traffic vendor markets are at Occlo and near moongate only. (As far as I know.) Which leads population focused on Occlo even for non-young players. And I remember this is why they intruduced Luna and in my personal opinion, it didn't really go well and created another real estate/commercial imbalance. Not to mention britain bank lost attractiveness by the change. My idea is based on the fact that hey we already have recall/gate as transportation system in UO anyway, why not make it a little more easily accessible to public for vendor market? How about something like a message board near bank in every city? A board that has many vendor runes clickable by players with descriptions on it about what kind of vendor it recalls to. Or it can be chessboard shape plate on the ground in front of bank, 10 x 10 square board which contains 100 vendor runes. This will reduce demand on Occlo and it will truely become 'new player' city, and also reduce demand on moongate accessibility for vendor buildings, and boost our economy. And I think this idea doesn't offend originality of Renaissance era. It only takes advantage of recall runes! What do you guys think?
If there was a consistent vendor in a remote location surrounded by silver serpents, players will shop there. be active be consistent (daily) advertise occasionally aka, this is what I sell, it is here in these quantities every time you visit... always. No secret sauce to run a vendor here. Just do these things, please.
There shouldn't be a need for maintanance. For example, a rune inside the board should decay after centain period of time. Gated person is in effect orf invisibility till action is made. Recalled person also same? Something like this will fix the problem.
