Hey guys. I'm always curious what everyone's template is, so I thought I'd start this thread. If you've found a template that works well for you, post it here with any advantages/disadvantages you've noticed. I'm sure it varies considerably with play style, but I'm looking to make 1-2 more thieves and am open to suggestions. So far I have 2 that only differ by one skill, lockpicking, which I use when I'm bored and can't find any marks. I use: Stealing Hiding Snooping Stealth Resist (Lockpicking) Tracking Magery I was thinking about something like: -Wrestling -Healing -Anatomy (for healing/stun getaways) -Stealing -Snooping -Magery -Hiding Possibly considering dropping snooping/magery a bit to add armslore to that template. Anyone have any experience with a template like this?

I haven't been on the shard very long but have always loved playing thieves in the past. I currently run with the following: - Hiding - Stealth - Snooping - Stealing - 70 Magery (for recalls and heals) - 30 Meditation (Because why not) - Wrestling - Arms lore It's probably obvious that I'm going for the disarm thief, although in truth I haven't found much opportunity to use it here yet. I may end up substituting out arms lore for tracking in the future if I find disarm isn't working out. However I also enjoy dungeon camping and house looting, hence the stealth. Overall I've had fun with this character so far but am definitely still developing him. Suggestions are certainly welcome.
How do you use tracking, exactly? What does it help you do as a thief? I was thinking about making a thief so I'm happy to see this guild. I haven't played UO in a long time and I was wondering if it'd be fun to be thievy... Looks like it might be!
My favorite thief template is this: Magery meditation eval int resist tactics mace anatomy While there is very little stealing skill in this template I use my boyish good looks and quick words to steal the heart of the masses. I've collected many fond memories with this one.
Hiding Magery Snooping Stealing Wrestling Meditation Stealth I've robbed and killed more people on this thief than should be possible. Works great in Champ spawns, dungeons, IDOCs, and all around. Drop magery and med to 85 and pick up tracking for increased awareness. Tracking is very handy on a stealther to prevent walking over someone who is hidden.
