TEXAS REGULATORS [TEX] RULES of Engagement: First and foremost Texas Regulators [TEX] helps all good based players and new players. We welcome players of all skill levels. Helping the server is helping the guild. Acts of kindness to new folks and young players is all in a day's play. Riding with a posse after training is considered an honor. We respect all guild mates and that respect is expected and deserved. We don't harass other players. Please refrain from talking crap or causing drama in IRC, Server vent, or our Raidcall. Candidates: Currently we are in open enrollment so getting in now is much quicker! We will gladly take Candidates for the guild, and new players in general, out hunting. After participating in the guild hunts and events for a couple days to a couple of weeks, the Marshals will decide whether a candidate is a good fit for the guild. They will take into account the opinion of players in the guild, particularly the higher-ups, so make sure you interact with as many people as you can in the guild. This process can be quite quick, and is dependent on many factors. We ask that candidates be patient. Participating in hunts and guild events as much as possible certainly will help reduce this time and let Guild Members get to know you quicker. Behavior: Most importantly, do not do anything to bring dishonor to the Texas Regulators. Stick to this simple rule, and you’ll avoid the majority of the issues that can arise in Guild play. Be good to your fellow Guild mates. We understand that you will not always agree, but if you are found to be continually going after a particular member, you will simply be removed from the guild. This kind of behavior is not good for the guild and makes the guild look bad. For that reason alone, it will NOT be tolerated at all. If you have a problem with a member, keep it private and fix it privately. Resolve all issues on the lowest level possible. Open and/or Public IRC Channels, Ventrilo Channels, and the forums are NOT the proper venues for personal disagreements. Discuss it in PM’s or in-game face-to-face. Do not make the Guild lose face because of your personal quarrels. Simply use common sense. Blatant harassment of other players or simply unnecessary speech (such as racist or otherwise hateful remarks) will result in a quick boot. Ain't nobody got time for that! Running Posses and Events: If you plan on going on these events be talk with one of the posse Marshals on what items and supplies are expected to be in your backpack when we ride. We will ride for a mission and/or an objective. If we succeed fast, other targets can be called. Please be in Raidcall for these runs. These are one time you have to be listening in Raidcall to go! Reds will not be happy to see us. Our goal is to make them even less happy after we leave them for dead. We kill our target(s) and get going. PKing and Griefing: Our stance on pking and grieving is quite simple: Do not harm innocents. Harming innocents includes, but is not limited to, stealing, looting, attacking, and otherwise intentionally causing someone to be killed or harmed. The term innocents can be rather confusing to some. Innocents are not always Blue players. People accidentally go Grey all the time. I think everyone here has accidentally healed the monster instead of themselves at least one time. Likewise, a Blue can quite easily be a griever. A player may also be Blue to you, but not to your Guild mate (s). You are expected to stick up for your Texas Regulators [TEX]Guild mates first, then figure out what happened later. Being in an Law Anti-PK Guild, like the Texas Regulators [TEX], does not mean you can run around killing anyone who happens to go Grey. Likewise, a true Anti-PK must be ready to take counts, if the situation calls for it....and it will. Learn to manage these necessary counts appropriately. If you need more information on this, please ask. Use your best judgment and stick to the principles of the Texas Regulators [TEX]. If you simply don’t know what to do, walk away or get a hold of someone else in the guild. Texas Regulators [TEX] members are expected to follow these rules at all times. If you have ALT’s, that are not in the guild, that are PK’s or Thieves we ask that you keep it separate. Failure to do so will result in you being unceremoniously booted from the Guild. That means do not associate your illicit behavior with the Texas Regulators [TEX] in any way. Do not use your Texas Regulators standing/characters to aid you in your nefarious deeds. We recognize that players like to role play different characters and will not ask them to stop doing this. Unlike some people, we understand that this is a game and will not punish people that like to roleplay a wide variety of character types as that simply makes no sense in a game. Just make sure you can keep things separated so as to not break the most important rule, which is do NOT bring dishonor to the Texas Regulators [TEX]. Character Names: We encourage Candidates to have somewhat appropriate names. This isn't a big issue on this server, as most of the objectionable names are simply not allowed by the server rules. Texas Regulators will not accept names that have hidden meaning, sexual meaning, or racial overtones. Communication: Communication is vital in a guild. This is why we ask that all members frequent the forums, login to IRC, and join our private Raidcall as often as possible. Even if you do not have a microphone, or simply don't wish to talk, it is quite helpful in coordinating Guild Posses, Champ spawns, hunts, and Dungeon Crawls if you are at least able to listen. Loot Sharing: We do farm and champ, and when we do as long as you are a member of Texas Regulators [TEX] or an invited guest you will get full and equal shares in gold and platinum that drop. If items are called on reserve prior to the event so be it. Any items not called or reserved prior to the start of the event are to be handled by the leader of the run or raid. And will be rolled for after the event. If someone has to leave prior to the end of the event. It is up to leader or Marshal of the Texas Regulators [TEX] to decide if they do get a roll. It we have more than one item for rolling, all members must win an item before anyone will get another. If you feel that you can abide by these rules and are interested in joining the guild, apply with app here in Texas Regulators Forums, contact a Marshal and we'll take it from there. Credit - Special thanks to Lightshade of Knights of Sosaria [KoS] for the basis of our rules as theirs were written so well and fit with our Anti-PK guild of Lawmen as well.
That is a racist comment and needs to be addressed by staff! nothing funny about loss of life, grow up
To get back on topic, how does TEX plan on handling red roleplaying guilds like The Bloodrock Clan or The Undead? They are in sort of a grey area when it comes to your philosophical approach to dealing with reds.
Thank you, We need lots of help as this guild will be targeted by reds. If they are not dry looting or grieving I doubt they will make our most wanted. Ruining others fun to make themselves happy are our main target. Marshal
Don't let the little cute kitty gifs/pics and good luck wishes fool you. You'll be seeing a lot of Mes and his love train (TT) I'll assure of that after stating your goal is to champ and kill reds.
I've no desire to bring our personal drama into this thread, Artex. They know that TT has reds. I think it's a great idea for a guild and there should be more guilds with anti-pk intentions. Over the last year or so I've killed more reds than anyone. I always thought there should be other guilds ready to chase them down.
Mass hate for the SL crew. Love how we're labeled "TT" as well, I role with them yes, but not all of us are on the stone. You want to talk about our love? What about the big ass circle jerk from CoM? - I agree, I would love to see an actual anti-pk guild. But the only reds that will fight even + numbers is us, the rest hide in house beating on their chests.
