Currently we're able to make minor modifications to houses via platinum rewards (ex: exchanging platinum for additional lock downs or secures). I'd like to hear every ones thoughts on being able to switch the direction of a door, this seems like it would make more sense if it were applied to interior doors only. For example: on a Large Keep when you walk in the front door, in the NW corner of the big main room, there is a door that is swings inward and when locked is locked from the main entrance side. With this platinum reward, we could select to have this door swing outward (towards the stairs) and when locked coming from the stairs/courtyard would have to use a key to get in. Is this something that game mechanics would/could even allow? Opinions?
Its already been argued and Telamon has written it down as line number 3,435 on the list of things to be done. BTW it should be gold. Gold needs removed from the system more than plat. It is possible as I have the coding on hand for this and includes the ability to chop doors down (empty entryways).
Yeah I'm sure there are numerous other things that should be completed that may have higher priority. Having this be a gold sink seems completely reasonable to me, which leads to the question why aren't additional secures and lock downs available via gold? Also good to know that it is technically possible, thank you.
Funny...I knew exactly which door you were talking about before I even finished reading the post. I talked to Telemon about that very door about 2 years ago when I got my first keep. Now I just leave it unlocked and dont worry about it. My Courtyard is more important to me than the pixels inside the great room/upstairs so I block that turret stairway from up top and my front door is locked and barricaded. I never use the front door so no chance of it accidentally getting left unlocked....so the only way into the CY is to have a rune and I keep that door locked also....if that is compromised I assume the whole house is anyway, so why bother locking that one goofy door. Oh, and Im too lazy to use a table wall every single time i leave and come back
What purpose does having the keys to the interior door placed there serve? If they are locked down no one can use them anyway that isnt friended to the house? or am I wrong about that? I'm sure theres some reason Im not thinking of so was just curious...
