New to the whole deco world to be honest, so here are a few questions... 1. Is it possible to place tapestries on the exterior walls of the stair ways? 2. Can items be placed on the edges of the roof? (ie. Lining the tower with skulls) That is all for now, thanks in advance!
Hi, and welcome to the world of deco-insanity..... To be honest, I don't know if you can plays tapestries in those locations. but.. give it a try... if can't. no worries... If can, be sure to check upper level above tapestry...sometimes edges of things with stick up through floors etc. If you decide you don't like the look.. use a hachet/axe, click on the tapestry and it will re-deed into your inventory. As for tower roof edges. It's really difficult... I don't think you can actually put on the edge, but can make a item appear as if it is. Go into "window of transparency" and drop item as close to the edge as you can...lock down, than raise item with a house decorating tool. Go out of window of transparency and see if you like the look. Hope this helped some Westra
You can get on the ledge with a ladder and then use a place macro to drop the item down at your feet. Then you chop ladder and use deco tool to lower it.
Thanks Westra, I tried a tapestry a few times but was not successful, was hoping I was doing something wrong. But I will keep trying and hopefully find away to fill up those walls! Horno, thanks for the info! Time to go buy a ladder!
One thing I was taught here was sometimes placing deeded things can be very picky on where you target. Like if you ever get a shield deed, you gotta click where floor meets wall or you'll decorate your chimney.
I once stuck a tapestry inside the western staircase on the first floor of the guild fortress. Telamon had to come by and remove it for me.....
