    Hi, all!

I am planning to train magery on another one of my characters. Here in the forums, I see two ways to do it: with resist and without resist. One I saw trains with only invis and rez but does not train resist. The other uses fireball, lightening, e-bolt, FS. This could be done targeting self (if doing resist) or on the spell book (if skipping resist).

Concerning the two methods that train imagery without resist, has anyone compared the two methods and figured out which is cheaper? faster?

First time I trained Magery here I did it using the method that also gains resist but requires a second account healing or one of a specific few template builds allowing you to do it on one character, stun/Heal Mage being one of them.

I then gained the final 14 or so points of resist at a resist event.

All of the other times (7 mages in total) I've done it using the non resist gaining method and then GM'd resist seperately at a resist event as I find it easier and quicker.

I couldn't tell you the cost difference but I can't imagine it to be that different either way.

So it depends on how many accounts you want tied up for a day or two, what your character build is and personal preference.

What I did find helpful is when the resist events were being held is throwing in as many characters as I could to GM resist, even if their other skills were just 50 and they were going to sit on the back burner until I finished them off.

    Hope this helps!

There is also a 3rd way: Without resist or damage but with the cheaper damage spells. By using EB and FS but targeting a spellbook in your hand.
