I have begun treasure hunting, and I have 100 lock picking, and 100 cartography. I have done several maps so far on my own. My question is, does Detect Hidden give a bonus to a treasure hunter? What other skills should I utilize as a treasure hunter? I am not concerned with Item ID or Mining.

    Thanks for any input

At 100 lockpicking, you don't need detect hidden. Unless of course you want the Remove Traps skill too.

For an all-in-one treasure hunter, I'd do:

    Magery
    Meditation
    Cartography
    Lockpicking
    Music
    Provocation

...and one skill of your choice. Could be Hiding, Wrestling, Eval Int, Discordance.

You could alternatively put Cartography on any character, dig up the chest and run away and then clean it up with a tamer or provoker.

Thanks Dalavar, I've got my guy a cat who does the T-map work and my guy Tamer who is provoking the little critters. I just recall tamer in first to make sure no spawn is near, then a cat to do the chest. I like you all in one guy as well. I had heard that DH would give a bonus when doing a chest. I just wanted to see if it was true or not.

    Thanks man

DH gives a bonus for non-GM lockpickers (it allows them to attempt locks they otherwise could not). But once at GM, it's not needed at all.
