I suck at this game. I never GM'd a crafter in the year I played on Baja in 96-97. I used $150 in real money in 04 to buy a house and finance a Trammy paladin that could destroy a demon three days after I created it. In 2016, I played here for a few months. GM'd a smith and a dexxer. Got a villa and two smalls from an IDOC right next to town that everyone interested in that sort of thing must have missed. Ended up losing all of three of those due to real life. But in the last three weeks, I've been to Ice for the first time; made it past the corpser room in Covetous without getting mauled by two reds; killed my first Arctic Ogre Lord (with a non-GM mace dexxer and some BS scrolls - not recommended); killed my first Titan with a Cyclops and an acoustic guitar on a Provo dexxer GM'd the night before at the public provo house (recommended); bought and placed three houses, one within two seconds of the Minoc Healers (BUY MY SHOVELS, YA CHEAPSKATES!!); and have received more help in game, on Discord and the forums than I've received in several real life jobs. Everyone was right: UOR is best. Y'all rock. Thanks for making this game more fun than I remember.
I have to agree with you on everything Barf... I played when the game first came out and played till WOW came out. Then found this server in 2014, I played for 1.5 years and real life hit me and dropped my keep tower combo and lost everything except my player while on vacation in Mexico for a couple weeks.... I tried coming back a few times over the last couple years, but over the last month UOR has sunk its claws into me again. I love this server and even if you do get PK'ed, usually they leave your corpse alone except for gold... This game is a blast and always has been even after 20+ years that this game has been out; NOTHING comes close to the depth that is free to all players!!! LONG live UO:R!!!!
WARNING!!!! KINDNESSS IS CONTAGEOUS!!! WE ABOUT TO FACE A PANDEMY OF LOVE AND GOOD WISHES. Some forces are still trying to fight against the Kindness viruss... but they are not being able to control it... in the end, our hearts will be all filled with the LOVE DISEASE... If you want to fight against it too there are here some advices: -Talk shit on discord about others and others groups. -Try to cheat newbs in negotiations to make profit. -Split the comunity in different groups, find one of them to call yours and ellect a common enemy... this is what unite people since anges. I hope the staff create some kind of barrier to block all this kindness coming from the outside... we need to protect our levels of toxicity that was raising before this pandemy start!
