In the first days of it we saw the world save going to 8-8.5 seconds(with less online players, i know). Maybe we just need to launch a second phase, eliminating all those valentine scrolls, leprechaun clothing and etc? Maybe is more related with the recent population growth.... house contest could increase it too... not sure.. what you think?
Not trying to steal this thread, but if your issue is the longer save times then CUB farmers has nothing to do with it... I know not everyone would support this idea but in an 8 year old economy houses that fall should delete ALL items. Yes, bye bye IDOCs, but hello to rares staying or becoming more rare. That change would only reduce save times slightly. Real issue is players who have not played here for years still refresh their house with over 100,000+ items in it. And yes, that is still a thing even though CUB is here.
yeah makes sense... i confess i dont contribute much... still sited over some bags of items to ID... power weapons that dont have market and i still dont know if worth cube it... hardening armours i would never use...
Copper is practically worthless because of the lame rewards and lack of telamon coming through on the big ticket items like moats and courtyard wipes. Greedy players still hoard cub crap in anticipation of something that seems unlikely to happen anytime soon
A simple fix = condemned status! There's no excuse anymore as to why it's not implemented. UOR seems to be getting some new people in, it's time to stop catering to the feelings of people who haven't played since 2013/2014.
The only thing that interested me was a pair of copy nibs. After getting 50 charges, I dropped the CuB barrel into the trash can. In general, of course, this is a good project and I like it, but due to the fact that I can buy everything for gold coins from my friends, I do not do sorting. I actively use Item ID and do not deal with shit, it remains rotting on the corpses of the monsters I have defeated. CuB'bing needs to develop and expand the store of useful goods, although I can still always pay in gold or even just buy copper coins, instead of lugging garbage in a barrel ... This is just my opinion and there will always be people who will like CuB'bing. And this is good, because it would be clearly worse if it were not for CuB.
For what it's worth, our IDOC crew has cubbed over 300,000 copper in items from collected drops. We try to do our custodial duties in removing the trash from the houses. The bigger issue is what you said, housing that is full and not being used paired with Pedigar's point of crappy rewards + previewed better ones. The culture created where items will be released in the future leads to people hoarding in the now. Want people to CUB? Add better rewards ASAP.
Preach. For the record, I cub’d almost 2 million copper worth of items because I was expecting the CY wipes/moats/teleporter tiles. I have a LOT of copper in my [wallet too from donations and now I’m just thinking about selling my fort because I don’t think it’s gonna happen and my whole game plan revolved around a specific set up of 3 homes, clean CY and a moat. So now I’ve just got even less bank space cause you can’t even turn copper into cheques. I’ve said it before but reading the CUB guide genuinely was what made me create an account and start playing here. It’s a huge bummer.
I know someone that has 4 houses that I sold them, and they haven't been online since December of 2019 - yet their houses are still perma refreshed. What do you think about condemned status if the actual owner hasn't refreshed in ~3 months?
