What does each dragon stat do and what is the relative importance of each?

I am new to bonding and training dragons. I have been checking stats to see which ones are worth taming but I still don't quite understand which dragons are best.

Can anyone give me a comprehensive explanation of what each dragon stat does?

Which stats are more important and what is the relative importance of each of them?

How would you rank these example dragons in order of quality?

B: 824/825/105/453
C: 824/823/99/474
