I've never had this big of a problem traveling south. What's up with that? Once I teleport, I can then move south.
It's a desynchronization issue with Razor. Essentially Razor believes you are in one location, while the game has you in another, this will usually prevent you from moving in a specific direction. This is an issue on just about any server running RUO, luckily it isn't too bad here... There are other servers where this will happen 2-3 times within a 15 minute window, which can be frustrating to say the least. There are a few ways out of this: • Bind a key to "Resync Client" in razor • Open your paperdoll • Teleport
I've just never had it happen so often on this server before. When I was playing alot many many months ago, it would happen every few days....if that. Now, it's happening 3-4 times per night.
I'm having the same issue. For me it's been happening more here than on any other server. I just relog to fix it
I just have a hot key set up for resynch as Deacon mentioned. Once you have that setup its a quick hit of a button and you are good. I seem to have desynch issues more in dungeons or unlevel areas btw.
I understand there is a temp solution for this, and I have setup the hot key also. I'm just curious of the state of this bug being fixed is all. Since it seems to be a fairly wide spread issue I would assume it is being aggressively worked on.
Oh that's interesting. It works for me every time without fail. I would PM Chris on forums or IRC about this. I want to say with one of the last patches he mentioned something about those with desynch issues messaging staff in game as they may have a permanent fix, or a fix they will try anyway. Good luck.
Also, I have not played a single free server where you never had to resynch. It is an issue with any server running RUO as was mentioned previously.
Dang...alrighty. I only played SA for about 2 weeks before this one, so I don't have any experience with RunUO idiosyncrasies. I'll read the patch notes you mentioned above and give that a shot if it continues to be a problem. Thanks Andersonius
