While developing additional tools for server health review and player trending we thought players would find it interesting to see some of the data the staff uses represented in a visual format. This map will show the distribution of items throughout the world. If a player logs out at a location, the items in their bank and in their backpack are considered to exist at the players logout location. The amount of items in a single 10x10 zone is represented by the color scale on the left side of the map. This type of data is helping the staff develop our clean up Britannia system by allowing us to review item storage trends in the world. It is also responsible for our save times being 2 seconds, while other comparable servers have save times of 10-45 seconds. Item Map The second map is what we call our "Crime Map" if you zoom all the way into the map and hit the legend in the upper right you can toggle combat data for the server. Combat data is represented by 20x20 zones and graded by the amount of kills show on the left side of the map. Faction Combat (a faction player killled by another faction player) Murders (a player killed by a player with 5+ short term counts) Standard Combat (players killed by other players with less than 5 short term counts) Crime Map Just another example of the level of research that the staff employs to help make Renaissance the best free server for our players. Note: The data used to create these charts is a few weeks old, and most likely will only be updated rarely. We are currently working with a few players to develop a completely new mapping system to along with our new UORMap.com domain acquisition. And if case you have not had a chance to see it yet, make sure to check our our standard map, showing all of the placed houses in the world. World Map w/ Houses
How about a map for where people farm monsters the most or where most the gold spawns (aka hot spots in dungeons)? edit: Very cool map though. I like the housing map as it's the reason I was able to get the keep spot that I have today!
the red spots changed dramatically http://uorforum.com/threads/clean-looted-grats-to-the-finder.6070/#post-46274 really cool feature
