Alright you wannabe factioneers! The time has come to join up and prepare for the new and exciting faction activities that will be starting soon. For those who wish to do battle against the "unholy alliance" etc... If you are keen to meet others and build the Realm of True Britannians into a pillar of vast power and fear inspiring usurpation, then please do so now. Feel free to message me here or in IRC if you would like to get involved.
Keep up the good efforts Gnarl, I'm doing my best to encourage others in your direction. I'll say on behalf of SL here that we are more than happy to spar and play with any TBs, if you reach out and ask. Otherwise, we look forward to field fighting and jockeying sigils. Remember, on the field of battle honor and respect are not dead until you kill them or leave them at home.
Still hoping to increase population of Truebrits. Even if you are lacking PVP skills, I suggest you join up and start practicing!
Good fights out there last night guys. Glad to see more folks in the field. I didn't loot anyone, but I'm not certain all corpses were left alone.
Im breaking down and buying a agapite runic wep today, so 2 weeks of a blessed weapon = a billion worry free deaths to learn how to pvp. So we are going to try and get a group on alot these next 2 weeks
Hey, the blessing is 3 weeks long! We're trying not to all jump on as soon as we see a couple Oranges, so hopefully you'll get some good fights. We do try to keep it even as often as we can. Good luck and I look forward to getting hit with some agapite!
Be aware, the weapon has to be crafted in a TB controlled town and blessed at the time of crafting it for it to have the option of blessing it. You can't go buy an agapite weapon then bless it.
This is correct. I'm assuming he'll be getting into Dalavar's Rent-A-Runic program for this. Crafting with a runic hammer in a controlled town, at the blacksmith, will prompt to 'bless/hue' on each successful craft attempt. Be careful not to waste your silver on non-exceptional weaponry.
It looks like one of Dalavars smiths is in the TB faction so I'm sure they are gonna do it correctly. Question is... are runics newbied/blessed? May want to have a couple guards with you when you get the rent a runic going.
So I don't know that this will qualify for the Golden Runic Hammer but I just wanted to say that the True Brits started a war tonight and I couldn't be more proud of them. After a nearly two month dry spell in factions I saw big fights tonight. We haven't gotten to hating each other yet, so before we get there I just want to say good fights and we are glad to have you. I streamed 90% of the fights and here are some short videos of them. http://www.twitch.tv/mes_tt/b/522258043 http://www.twitch.tv/mes_tt/b/522251681 http://www.twitch.tv/mes_tt/b/522264425 http://www.twitch.tv/mes_tt/b/522240500 http://www.twitch.tv/mes_tt/b/522247180 http://www.twitch.tv/mes_tt/b/522269719 http://www.twitch.tv/mes_tt/b/522211947 http://www.twitch.tv/mes_tt/b/522282029
Holy crap, I want your computer. You run that flawlessly while streaming? I would have been lagged and skipping everywhere
So, since this is the only active factions thread going right now...What is the state of factions here right now? Not sure it is for me right now due to time restrictions but might start building a char for it anyway. Any input or suggestions would be great. Thanks!
The state of factions right now....in flux Please do create a char for factions. You can be a mage or a dexxer, or a trap specialist perhaps. You could even help craft faction gear with a crafter. For some reason everyone has the idea that you need a lot of time to play factions, but I don't see it that way. You can just join in when you have time. Set a trap here, join a mob of roving Britannians there, etc. This is also an opportunity to develop community. My intention has been not just to get people to put chars they hardly ever log into into a faction, but to get a guild together with people that want to be with a group and play. Also lots of opportunity to practice pvp by dueling with guildmates if you feel rusty in the pvp arena. Not to mention, you don't have to only pvp in the faction, I have a bard in the faction that I go out farming with to get silver and loot. Feel free to contact me if you are interested. I have also heard there will be updates and changes to factions in upcoming patches. Watch this space...
Agreed Gnarl. SL is actually comprised of almost entirely former enemies of one form or another. We tend to do a bit of everything together and while we may not all rock the same guild tags, we're all interacting in a very communal way pretty regularly in everything from Factions to PvM to BoDs and friggen sweet cat pics and lols. We're not the steamroller ganking assholes people have said we are. Until people don't stop talking shit, then they get steamroll ganked without question. Anyone who keeps it clean in the field with us can expect the same in return. This is NOT how Factions ever was on OSI that I heard of, so I think it's grand that we're actually mature enough to have good fights and take losses as the learning experiences they are, instead of just public displays of humiliation. I got into Factions as a pretty bad PvPer and people will tell you I've definitely progressed, and not through victory, but through defeat more often than not. I think I'm baked and rambling, but the point is, get into Factions. Get together with a people and PARTY. Gold is great for buying things and the reduced income from farming together, is made up for in multiples with the bonds you'll form in the field. Go out on your fighters with some slayer weapons and farm daemons for silver, gold and weapons for 'the cause'. Pack a non-Slayer weapon just in case the enemy shows up! Fight for control of the cities and most of all, for fun.
Is there a forge in Magincia? I couldn't find one. Also, another question that came up... does the item lose its blessing if it leaves the hands of a faction char? Does it regain its blessing if it goes back to a faction char?
The blessing remains intact for 3 weeks from the time of crafting. The blessing is not impacted on any transfer of any kind. ONLY a member of the faction it was blessed for, can actually equip the weapon, until the blessing wears off.
