They have moved on for the most part but these properties were placed in my name since they already had a tower placed further out of town when we bought it. So rather than just go into refresh mode I figured they would be best in someone else's hands. I know these guys in real life so i'm not just selling out from under them; I asked if they cared if I put them up for sale since I'm the one keeping them refreshed and I have moved into my own place now. (one of their places I wasnt friended to already fell). RIGHT BY THE GUARDZONE, whew, this is really exciting isnt it?? The marble is the one due west of the tower. But Wait! There's more! if you want them too, you can throw in 2 small deeds and take the smalls right behind the tower (just north) with absolutely no markup! If you are not interested in those I will deed them up on final sale (then you never know what kind of neighbors you might get! amiright?) The marble will hold all the vendors you could possibly ever want if you are into that sort of thing. I might be mistaken, but would have to check on Test to verify. I think this plot could fit twin towers.
It does fit twins... I tested it when Hatecrime owned the plot where that tower is & I had the spot next to it... HC wouldn't come down on price so I just dropped mine and walked away
Correct. You'd want to move the present tower to the east as far as you can get it. Looks like about 3 tiles east from the pic. Then drop the western tower with the wings touching.
I'm not sure that it still works with the current house placement rules. Of course, there's a tower sitting there now on test, so I can't go test it out much.
If my math is correct there is no way to place two towers here: The marble is right up next to a tree (you can barely see it poking over the roof) so there is one tile, plus the 15 of the marble gives you 16, there are 7 tiles between the marble and the base of the tower as it currently sits so theres 23...you can only move the tower east 1 tile because of the steps and that tree right under the sign, so theres 24 tiles total you have to work with. You need 25 to place another tower? 8 from the base of current tower to clear the wings, 16 for the foundation of the new tower, then 1 tile away from that tree. That tower on test is mine, I will remove it when I get in for lunch so you guys can test. I was unable to place two there. I thought I deeded that one back up, sorry about that, I will get it removed asap. I'm going to have to say they wont fit...if they end up working then great, but I dont want to steer anyone into believing they will and they find out after the sale that they will not.
I can only move it back one tile because of the tree at the northeast corner of the tower (it is at 2 tiles right now). Unless the steps dont have to be away from trees by one tile moving it back one will not allow me to move it. The steps will not be one tile away from the tree under the sign when you move it east unless you could move it two tiles back. It *will* clear the tree but there wont be one tile between. I couldnt find house placement rules for the shard to verify that, but I couldnt get it to place on test in that position.
After 10 years away from UO, I've enjoyed returning to this friendly shard. What a nice community. In my two months back, I've scratched together 450K at the expense of endless cotton fields and dread spiders. If you entertain splitting the deal, I would like the marble (given it's the only s/b I can afford). 450K and a worn pair of leather gloves is my bid. Many thanks, Tyrus
Ah you think it's a rare, gotcha. No I don't have any rares. It was in reference to the amount of cotton I've had to pick to save up that much gold . I've only started playing UO again for 2 months. My bid is simply 450K for the Marble.
I honestly wouldnt feel right taking that amount for the marble. Especially to someone trying to get back into UO People were very generous to me and helped in getting me into my own place recently. Since there hasnt been any interest in the auction at all I will just cancel it and we can work out something in private on one or the other? If that's ok with everyone here? Sorry, I dont know the protocol on doing this...I want to stay neutral and fair with the whole community
