Hi all, I am moving between flats and cant play. Can anyone supply their experience with the new lvl7 instas (e.g. monster types, necessary slayers, tipps and tricks etc)?

Monster types are on the compendium (thus slayer info too):

I haven't done any maps, but someone can post a guide or something I presume.

Also, by the looks of the rares that spawn, the market rate for lvl7 maps will be at least half a million. (Someone's auctioning 3 rares and each S/B is 1 million).

I did an ironman run of the green map last night, i finished the event but failed to get an ironman trophy only because i left the gold in the first chest (doh). The time limit is VERY short considering the first mini boss almost instantly respawns and none of the bosses are provo'able, I managed to finish with around 2 minutes to spare. There is no variety dealer within the instance and i was down to 4 bandages when i left after bringing 170 so I suggest you travel heavy on the bandages and potions. This was all done using a mid level slayer, and i think i can absolutely make ironman requirements on a second run now that i have an even better idea of what to expect. I will also say that the slayer aspect is pretty weak, I have run 3 maps and have yet to pull a slayer above ruin, 3 of which were useless weapons anyway (a pitchfork, a skinning knife and a butcher's knife). As far as the dexxer aspect it is fairly simple as it relies mostly on timing and being prepared, the only truly difficult task is not dieing while pairing off the adds from bosses. Hope this helps, feel free to PM me tonight if you have any specific questions.

P.S. This all really pertains to the spider event as i have not attempted ironman on the golem mine yet. I will most likely give it a go tonight.

Just did one of each (gem filled mine and the spider one). Here's some of the phat lewts we got :)
Green cutlas is fortified scorpion's bane, mace is surpassingly accurate reptilian death. Green thing is "ichor" (spawning rare).
And the web covered chest (green as well)

Brown axe is durable ruin and exorcism (not shown) and that awesome slayer pickaxe is durable and blood drinking. Got the brown chair (from a chest). Brown chest (also from a chest) and those two crystaline things came as drops from mobs.

Also, those crystaline things are heavy ( 50 stones each) so make sure you've got room!

    Those crystalline things are awesome!

I wonder if there is a game component, where you have to collect a number of items (i.e. the crystals) and use them up for advanced content (similar to champ skulls and Harrower summoning).

Was too excited about all the loot and didn't even answer any of his questions!

The spider map was pretty straight forward (expect to be poisoned a lot). The mobs leading up to the boss were pretty straight forward - nothing really special about 'em (they are tough though and CAN be barded). First mini boss has a fast respawn time - like really fast. So move past once you kill him or you'll have to fight 'em again. The bosses have an AOE poison attack that will hit everything near it (think it was level 4 poison?). So bring cure pots.

The gem filled mine was much, much larger with golems all over the place (we ended up leaving a ton of ore behind). I think there were forges there so if you want to bring a miner to smelt go for it. The mini bosses do an AOE damage attack. There's a message that xxx slams the ground or w/e and they do AOE damage. Final boss was annoying cause if you get stuck in the sparkly things he casts you get teleported to the beginning of the room he's in (maybe 1 screen away). Was very fun though! Everyone there had fun.

We had 3 tamers (2 drags each) and 2 melee (slayer weapons) and everything in both instances died pretty fast. Melee guys do much more damage vs the mobs there.

Can you give an estimate to the total weight of all items (for ironman)?

I picked up a spawning rare in the spider instance as well, it would appear that there are two in that instance.

You don't have to carry everything wylwrk, you just have to take it out of the chest. While in the instance the map shows your progress on double click, the last page of which is ironman requirements which is how I saw in hindsight that I left one item in the first chest. Check it before you leave to be sure you're done!

This has some detailed information as well.

And those gems were just plain retarded luck. Those are 1/100 chance drop items and its like a .05% chance for both to drop in one run. I literally disabled the event and checked the live code to make sure I didn't make some mistake.

Note: The weapons were not supposed to be colored, that was a design oversight as I was going blind trying to pick them out from the chests in testing. This will be fixed in the next patch.

Right on, what I actually meant but failed to describe properly is ... can one player haul all the loot out?

Yes but you'll have to make a pile at the exit gate, step onto the gate, put the gold in your curse then use a macro to press Gump response 1 and gate it out from the entrance

So these colored weapons are super bug rares.

I sense a disturbance in the (math) force. :D

Will these items remain colored or will you be changing the hue on them?

I will most likely grudgingly leave them the color they are since it was my fault for missing that.

I think the colors should be revoked.
