Savage, I believe the AR value based on resource type came in around this era but I'm not certain at all exactly when. I do know that it is accurate that up until Ren certainly all resource types provided the same AR.

... and I could feed that armor, wait a week, and it would bond to me forever.

Oh right, I almost forgot. But only after you do the dexxer quest private instance to allocate unlimited armor bonding slots to yourself, your alts and your friends.

If I can run around casting with a "fashion" halberd and lite torch, I am on board with this. All or nothing! Seriously though, no, because seeing roughly what someone is wearing gives you a general idea of who or what they may be capable of. UO has an open-class system and gear helps define it visually.

What the fuck are you talking about? I'm perfectly on board with ore colored non-runic weaponry, if that's what you mean. Otherwise, I don't think you understand the point of the conversation.

You can already see if I have a vanq in my hand without EVER needing to ID the fucking thing yourself anyway. So let's not pretend like seeing who the high rollers are is hard by any stretch of the concept.

Yes, because I double click everyone's avatar, to view their paperdoll, to click on their weapon to see if it's magical all while chasing them.

As though you give a shit about the difference between a valorite dex suit and iron? You PK people for organs. WTF do you care what their AR values are? lol

Bump because I'd like to see this implemented, OR the metal armor dye tubs which would make this idea moot.

I would prefer nerfing all ar-bonus from materials other than runics; implement runic tailoring

I swear, Trammelites are almost as bad as Saracens. They just don't quit...

Explain to me, because no one has been able to in any way, how normalizing AR for material types relates to removal of risk or restriction of non-consentual pvp.

I'll wait, for a fucking eternity, because you won't have a valid answer.

Here's a better idea, make barbed leather light blue and purge all dyed leather from the shard along with leather dye tubs.

+1 for purging leather dye tubs! Please get rid of leather dye tubs, I get way too many of those damned things instead of CBDs! Yes I'm joking...

I'm not always the kindest but I'm always honest and don't tend to sugar coat. Unless I'm making dessert. :)

    Form follows function.

You guys would make shitty architects... build crazy elaborate geometric buildings that nothing can fit inside of.

I've seen houses with all the necessities and a 100sqf foot print, it's all about innovation and customization my friend :)
