Should reds be allowed in town and have stat loss taken away?

  1. Yes, it will bring more pvp to the server.

    31.7%
  2. No, i get scared at the sight of reds, and don't want them anywhere near me.

    58.5%
  3. Makes me no difference either way, just as long as there's more action.

I know many of you will scorn to the idea of allowing reds in town and removing stat loss. But I firmly think it would bring more pvp to the server.
@Chris is my guy, and without him, we don't even have a chance at playing the game we all love so much, but he is wrong on the mechanics of reds.
I mean he at least gives us a chance, which means more than we could ever express, but he should seriously consider modifying reds on this server.
Allowing reds in towns gives blubies that are on the fence of pvping an opportunity to try out their skillset, conveniently. Without having to wander in dungeons putting themselves at an instant disadvantage.

I for one would be red within minutes if this was to happen. I also think it would produce more faction participation.

I really doubt this. So let me get this straight, you don't have the balls to run a red as is, but if your allowed in town you will? *rolls eyes*

    Reds in towns SUCK !
No Stat Loss is plain stupid

Murder is a Criminal Act (in game and out)

NO murderer should be allowed to walk the streets of any Sosarian city without the guards/NPCs etc... recognizing them on site and whacking dem bastards... save for Bux Den which is meant to be a hive of scum and villainy.

Save the fancy justifications - The life of a Murderer should be hard. Period. End of Story

Allowed in town without stat loss. I am from siege and it worked fine this way there. I really don't see the problem personally. But I accept that others have opinions as well as myself.

Oh you don't want stat loss lol, missed that part. Ridiculously bad idea, stat loss is already a joke.

How is it even possible that you don't see the problem with consequence-less murder on a felluca shard?

If people REALLY want pvp, here's an idea....

What if I told you that there is a way you could show everyone your current location in real time??? or see other willing participants' locations? theres this nifty feature on UOAM where you can log into the renaissance UOAM server and see others online and they can see you. If you're squeamish at the sight of action, you could delay the broadcast time a few seconds so the blip on the radar isn't showing you in real time but a few second delay or more.

Imagine the faction scene if all willing faction participants wanted to throw caution to the wind and log into the UOAM server. Gone would be the days of "THERES NO ACTION ON THIS SERVER EVERYONE BANK SITS LOLOLOL NOOBS"

I thought about making a post about it sometime and seeing what happens but I just don't have the energy. If you want pvp so bad, maybe issue a challenge to make this happen and see how many brave souls respond!

Because I played on a shard (Siege) like mentioned, and there were no problems at all.

I get it, and totally understand what you're saying, but so many have said this already, and yet here we are. What I'm suggesting has already been done and proven successful by OSI. This isn't just some wacky idea. Stat loss is a deterrent to playstyles.

Can't we say the exact same thing about thousands of post made that reference "how things were on osi'? Or do we just pick and choose?
Also, pvp here is far from successful.

Sure go ahead and get rid of stat loss. Let's introduce permanent death.

I've been playing that way for a very long time. I'd love to see some of you whack ass toddlers play style when the risk of losing your character permanently comes in the play.

One in the field and two in training, always.

No really, get rid of stat loss. Doesn't mean shit to me anyway.

I've heard the people who oppose opinions, but I've yet to hear the problems that are associated with my suggestion.

    See post above for answer....

I would hope you are trolling at this point.
Your suggestions do not solve the problem you state.
You quote Siege as having "no problems".
You say "OSI was very successful"
You say that PvP is far from successful here.

These are OPINIONS not Facts... "You are entitled to your own options, NOT your own facts"

and to answer you questions directly... Yes, we say that about our nostalgic remembrances of OSI. and YES we Pick and Choose. Don't be surprised when others are not lining up to pat you on the back for your own self serving suggestions.

Bottom line, if you don't like it here, or think your ideas are better, ie you could do a better job... then RUN YOUR OWN SERVER.

So you interpret suggestions made by other MEMBERS other than yourself, as them not liking it here. You kinda sound like you're the one running this server.
I'm just a member, just like yourself, who has the right to make suggestion, just like yourself. If I have been misinformed, please feel free to enlighten me.

You ask questions, you post a poll and elicit opinions....

I give mine, which include my belief that completely self serving suggestions that don't solve any stated problem as not liking it here, or the feeling that the suggestor thinks they could run it better... should walk a mile in Chris's shoes and try to run their own server...

Notice I didn't say STFU and go away... though you may have interpreted it that way... Feel free to make all the suggestions you want... If you don't want others opinions, then don't ask for them.. Although I should have inferred this from your poll choices.

Others feel free to chime in pro or con... I don't think I have anything more to add to the conversation
