Hey there, I am setting up my old macbook for my nephew to play UO on. I have successfully downloaded and installed both Razor and UO, but when I run razor via wine stable, nothing happens. It gets stuck at the overlay of the Razor emblem and says "Don't Forget to Donate!" - and then nothing happens. I think I need to either set the Client and UO Data Directory myself (which I have already tried and failed) or I need to run as admin? Please help! Thank you
Ill try... 1) First I installed Wine stable and the supplemental tricks using these two guides: http://uorforum.com/threads/installing-uo-r-and-razor-on-mac-os-x.1973/ https://forum.uo.com/discussion/256/ultima-online-on-macbook 2) Then I downloaded the UO-R install and Razor install. I installed them both by using their designated wine stable .exe files in the folder where Wine files are stored: (~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Electronic Arts/Ultima Online Classic) 3) I go to use Razor (via .exe file) and when I click "OK" to log in, I get this: ok my image URL doesn't work here but, It only relaunches Razor and it sits at the Razor Overlay that says "dont forget to donate" like it would when I initially start up razor. ** It does not activate Ultima **
the uor DL page offers you a rdy to use uo R client for mac using winskin. did you try that? http://www.uorenaissance.com/downloads/UO Renaissance.dmg also i dont see the error screenshot.
There is no error message, it is as I described. When I "OK" the razor startup window, it just reopens Razor apparently. I would use that client, But i have to use Razor to play this game. How do I set that up from here? I had this working years ago on this computer, I just wiped it to restart clean or my nephew. I may just look back at my old threads
just wait longer. if it flickers its normal. does here too you can disable it once razor is laucned. you need to un tick = show this screen

Hmmm... No flicker and no change. It is indefinite Razor startup screen. I think Razor or Wine does not know where to find the Ultima file to launch... Is there anyway to change the directory? ** When I use The command in terminal "wine razor.exe" It does not know here to find it either. I have to manually go in finder and double click the Razor Icon to be able to use it. **
I could check trough teamviewer. In about 1,5 hour from now. Did u try the Mac client as I mentioned before ?
