@Canis - I remember being invited into that home - not only is it a lovely location, but that house is beautifully decorated as well! My personal favorite spot is the south-west corner of Moonglow island. You can fit a decent sized house there, it is in (or right next to) the guard zone of that area, there is a little fenced-in field. On Atlantic I owned a cabin just on the west side of that little fenced in area and the Moonglow Town Council (guild I was part of at the time) trained pvp and did duels in that little field. Definitely high up on the nostalgia meter, but it is also a very convenient location. Lots of water, and the teleporters to town are nearby just a little to the east (not to mention Moonglow as a whole is pretty peaceful).
My first place was on Europa. A small shit-hole in the Trinsic jungle, at least fifty screens from any notable landmark, was totally obscured by over hanging trees so you couldn't see what you were doing, and it smelled of gorilla farts. It was pretty sweet.
We must've been neighbors!! (Not really, but close enough). I had a marble patio west of Trins to the Hidden Valley mountain, was still on grass though. Was on Tramell, never could own anything before then.
My vote is Bart's tower followed by the crazy cool list of features on barrier isle. Right by trinny, Bridge partial guard zone beach lil lake memorial, flowers and trees, wandering healer, road leading to the main house, awesome
Back when, I saved up so much money and was a dumb kid with terrible placement skills. Some guy had a "sweet small tower in the jungle" placed and would give me a "great deal" on it. He had to spend time clearing it out because every time I recalled to it, a large scale man-vs lizard army war was waged. I used to be so pissed and frustrated when I had to go there. Still laugh (after I let it go) about it today!
I purchased a smithy house a few days after T2A began, the first "large" house I could afford. It was improperly placed on that beach of the island next to temple island. Beautiful spot! Until I went to explore the island after the purchase and noticed "hey why are all the silver serpents wandering up north"...."back to my house"...."and then spawning by the doorstep". I used the same trick to re sell it but I lost a bit of money.
Scenic wise, there's a lot of great spots, my favorites being near waterfalls and other points of interest. Of course if I were to want a vendor location and had my choice of any house on the shard, obviously it would be the Occlo bank houses, followed by the Skara brae house that I think Blaise owns now. For island spots, that one spot on the island that will only hold one small tower is probably one of the best spots so whoever owns that is lucky.
Just on this server? I'd say hidden valley. Unlimited regs. Or the Trinsic tower. As for in the game ever? I'd say the small house on top of the shame evil Mage tower on pacific.
I like my house just outside of moonglow. Few screens from the bank, and few screens from the Moongate. The IDOC crew sold it to me for a good price. Thanks guys!

Yeah, used to. Its a sweet spot near the coast West-ish of Destard. I believe its "The Bridge of the Two Kings" on UOAM.
