Even if it's not this dude: http://www.uorenaissance.com/player/15201 He has the same name as you so... SB: 50k on your head alongside a screenshot posted here of you taking a dirt nap with the journal open showing the breakdown. I'm not paying you 50k to poison yourself in your home or have you have a friend do it so unless this is someone I know from the forums doing it I'm not biting. You're welcome.
Look dude. I get it. You’re relatively new here and you’re trying to come up with ideas to spice things up, and you see some vets shooting you down. Now, before you go making assumptions, you need to get your shit straight before you say ANYTHING. See, when you come in here throwing around ideas, and acting as if we’re just being Scrooge’s..you need to step back for a moment and realize a few things: 1. There’s a good chance we have already spent YEARS pushing for certain changes. Some of it is material that is very basic and requires minimal effort in terms of coding, and is perfectly logical, and yet it gets completely ignored. 2. If you don’t know our history, or what we have seen based on our experience, then shut the absolute fuck up when you start saying completely baseless things like “the vets are so eager to shoot things down.” Mainly, because, you don’t know wtf you’re even saying, and to see you say that generally pisses some of us who have been here for years advocating certain changes, off. 3. Based off some of your recommendations, it is apparently obvious that you seriously lack the understanding of the mechanics, and instead of spending quality time in game exploring all facets, you immediately jump into the forums asking questions and suggesting changes. It reminds me of my job in which new guys are hired, and before they ever go out and scope things out for themselves, and try to solve certain problems, or experience something for themselves, they immediately want the vets to explain every single mother fucking thing to them. 4. If you think for one moment that some of us have not already spent countless hours brainstorming new ideas, and trying to come up with realistic, balanced changes, then you fall directly into the category I mentioned above in regards to not spending enough time in game learning for yourself. 5. I apologize that you don’t have the “time or patience” to look for fights, but I work rotating shift work from nights to days, in 12 hour shifts, while maintaining a marriage and 3 kids, and still manage to find plenty of people to fight. Which is precisely why I am pissed off every time I read your posts because it is painfully obvious you would rather have everything served up front to your damn doorstep instead of putting in actual time in game to learn where the hotspots are, what the times of day they are most active, actively engaging in the irc community looking for fights, etc. Instead, you put forth minimal effort, don’t get instant results, and automatically come to the forums wanting someone to fix it for you. This is why I don’t have the desire anymore to answer, or put into depth, any form of proper rebuttal, and I get pissed the off reading all of these posts from a bunch of whiny little shit heads thinking they have even the slightest of clues as to what they’re talking about, when I know that you don’t.
I will use "time and patience" explaining myself to you, some, not so much, but for you, I definitely will. I still remember when I started here and you offered to help me find a spot to place a house, that was some real shit right there, and I'm still grateful for it. Now, when I said "some people" I was more referring to new comers who comes to check out our server to see if any action is going on. We all have done this on some server a time or two, before deciding whether or not to spend our time there. I here you on all the ways to "find fights", really I do. But it's not just about "finding a fight", it's about increasing pvp ACTIVITY on the server. That's all suggestions are meant to do. They're aren't personal, and no one should take them that way.
Then be the change you want to see in the world dude. Start a guild called the Ocllo Underdogs, put up a post saying that you will accept all guild wars invites and that Ocllo is your turf (so the new people can see you) and fight anyone orange that comes in. @Hadrian declared war on thieves with Lion (I think that's him) and I saw him scrapping all the time in Ocllo.
Like I said, I hear all that, but how does me fighting in occlo, increase faction activity? This is not a thread of cries to find fights.
You gotta look at the bigger picture here man, you ever seen Kevin Costners (second*) greatest movie Field of Dreams? If you build it they will come. Ghosts came out of his corn field and told him to make a baseball field. You've got living people telling you to get out there and do something about it, you're already better off than Kevin Costner. *first greatest movie was waterworld btw and if you disagree you are dead to me.
Rofl You guys are something else, I'll give ya that, but not one person has explained to me why 1000 silver coins would ruin factions and the server lol smdh. NOTHING else changes in the faction system, only 1000 silver coins, geez.
Exactly. So how does making things **just a bit** more easier such a bad thing, if it gets people involved in factions.
