A Stormy Visit - Village of Paws Catalin took the small loaves of bread and handed the provisioner the last of his traveling coins. He was starting to wonder if he should have taken a bit more than a measly thousand pence. But the citizens of this land had already proven to be exceptionally welcoming. Exiting the shop he headed down to the path towards the King's public moon gate. If he figured his rations right he hoped he could make it that far. He also hoped this clandestine meeting with the echelon of Storm Hold was as pressing as Jupiter had urged; even more important than being reunited with his brother Radu. It had been ages since he and Radu had been able to share stories and teach each other new songs... He reached the glowing gate sooner than expected. He took a deep breathe and stepped through the portal. _______________ The night fell in Storm Hold far too quickly. He could scarce believe a full day had passed since Godrick Greycliff had provided a personal escort. Catalin felt he had barely had enough time to admire the great peninsula city. But he could no longer deny the ominous feeling; Something was not right in Paws. He had not received a single word from the southern expedition all this while. Then his dark premonitions took form of the text on his map... It was a message from Kiln the Dwarf: "Radu's mount is returned wit no rider... You must return at once" "My lord Greycliff, you have been a most cordial host but I must depart. I fear there is something quite amiss with my brother's advance expedition to the southern ruins of Paws" Godrick made no attempt to mask his concern. "just speak the word and I shall send the best blades men of my realm to your aid!" Catalin accepted the gesture with a nod then spoke, "for now a gate to the shrine of spirituality is all I pray of thee."
