Archery Training Advice Needed

Does anyone have any interesting tips/tricks on raising archery? I have a few archers to train up and poking holes in random baddies seems awfully slow. What was your setup?

I shot at an alt with gm weapon skill in a house
alt healed self and had gm plate on

or try shooting an order guard from a boat, heard that works

Ratmen archers give out free arrows if you ask them nicely.

Zyler said it: Like with any fighting skill, just hit an alt while having him healed. You might want to go to max distance, for less damage over time. And that alt should have some fighting skills too, else you are stuck at 70 or something.
