Armslore has it's value diminished by allowing the durability of gear to be seen on equipment by anyone who checks

"my renaissance", "character list" : from the main site.

Not really a bug, but it's a thing. (Or, I could be misinterpreting this?) (this had probably been said before)

    Sincerely, Armslore

The problem with checking things on the website is that it only updates like once every 24 hours or so.

    Dear Armslore,
You entitled piece of lore. You as recently as patch 68 got a complete overhaul but it is STILL not good enough for ya huh??? Taste ID never comes in here and complains. You ever hear evaluating intelligence complain? No. It is just you arms lore and enough is enough. I am removing you from my tab until you start behaving yourself.
    Sincerly, Lore&Knowledge

One's unpopular idea of the day.

Taste ID (since taste and smell are linked) detects blood sploches on a murderer's wretched hide, hence running Taste ID on someone with 1-4 short-term murder counts and turns them gray only to the taste identifier.

    Dearest taste identification enthusiast,

Yes, you're correct, that is a terrible idea. Here is a brilliant one:

Taste ID has a chance of raising whenever the player consumes food or drinks dranks, allowing for newblets without 'the know' to increase their stats easier, like... camping!
Also it would have the added effect of forcing the good people of Sosaria to place it on " v " down, so that taste ID would never be a forgotten skill again.

Now, Remove thyself, lest ye have pertinent information regarding the Lore of Arms, you rapscallion.

    Sincerely, Armslore.

I like your idea but I stick with mine anyway, too many scofflaws skirting the law and PKing with no consequences. Risk should start with one count.

    Dearest One,

Thine skill in the lore of forensics is for that what which you seeketh.
The law, akin to everything else, is a winding road.

    Sincerely, Armslore

Yeah you're right it's better suited to Forensics.

Personally when I heard Arms Lore was getting buffed I had hoped for something a bit more robust as well, and I agree that it shouldn't be shown on the website.

I like the idea of taste ID increasing whenever someone eats but... A proper use would really be keen.

LOL I totally have my characters profile pages bookmarked for the sole reason of checking in on how quickly my weps/clothes/armor erode over time. I assumed everyone did that :p

You see this man right here.

Diminishing the value of Armslore via the website. Such personal details should never be shared.
    * They should require the inconvenience of knowing the Lore of Arms.

From what I can tell the new guard settings preclude disarm from a blue character, hence it does actually need another boost to its "robustness".

You should have seen what happened to the guard after the attempt.

She walked around in aggro mode until she despawned, even after delivering her wallop!
Not even placing a chair for her to rest for a moment could cure her aggression. What an angry lass she was.

I recommended removal of that data from the website while I was helping Telamon test the new Arms Lore functions.

I fondly recall the times before the site had the data and people would ask me to lore their masks and weaponry. So much for player interaction.

A kind example: to make the point.

A fine smith gave me directions on how to use a grand-master smiting deed, and where to use it the other night.
After informing me what required repair.

    This was much appreciated.

Repair Deeds are also ruinous to the player interaction for blacksmiths.

    You have a point there.
Yet, Aren't they the ones that craft them however?

(Generally sold with one per-bag on most vendors, when the gear comes in a lot of six. Not to mention thine weapon and shield)
    * I don't recall them even being 'a thing' back when I first played. (not that, that matters)

Great Smiths used to be more than a name on a piece of gear, that much is true.

Crafted by macro and dropped on player vendors. It doesn't really matter anyway in a world where powder of fortification can pump stats on everything to 255/255 and keep it there for eternity.

Technology has ruined the blacksmith profession.
