I'm about to dive into the BOD world. How do you recommend organizing BODs? What have you found that works? Thanks!
For tailoring, I have a book for: - hats - shirts - pants and misc - footwear - large CBD bods - 10xspined - 15xspined - 20xspined - useless spined - horned - barbed - bad leather (leather, studded, bone) For smithing, I like Gideon's idea of organizing by reward type.
I don't do tailor BoDs, so no help there. Blacksmith BoD Organization goes as follows: The following in Container 1: Iron Flippers: (books) Helmets (not coif or plate)/Chainmail/Weapons/Ringmail/Shields (the last two I call "Gravy" because they are all 100% success rate) DC Flippers (1 book) Shadow Flippers (1 book) High End Flip (1 book) Iron Larges (2 books, first is full) Iron Platemail (1 book so far) Container 2: Dull Copper Larges Dull Copper Plate Sets (book with at least the large and any matching smalls) Container 3: Shadow Larges Shadow Plate Shadow Smalls Sets (book with at least the large and any matching smalls) Container 4: One pouch for each ore type Copper - Valorite Each pouch contains one book for the ore type Sets (book with at least the large and any matching smalls) How I sort: Iron platemail is currently garbage not worth the ingots to fill. All of those go into the Iron Plate books. Iron Large BoDs are currently garbage and not even remotely worth filling. All of those go into their respective books. All other iron bods are "flippers". Dull Copper: Exceptional Platemail, 20 Exceptional Chainmail (hanging shield) and 15 Exceptional Ringmail are the ONLY ones worth keeping. Everything else goes to DC Flippers. Shadow: Exceptional Platemail and Exceptional Chainmail are the only ones worth keeping. Everything else goes to Shadow Flippers Copper and above: Anything that is not an absolute flipper (see below) gets sorted into container 4 accordingly. Absolute Flippers: All shields, helmets (excluding plate helm), female plate and weapons are %100 flip material. Shields, non-plate helms and female plate do not fit ANY large bod, ever, thus only good for flipping. Weapons are only in iron and iron larges are crap, so they are all flippers. Methods: I will bust out flippers in two methods: Pick an item type that has %100 success rate on craft and remove every bod of that type from all books and bang them all out in a sitting. Filter books by Normal and find a few Normals of an item with a shitty success rate, like spears. Then I pull the normals and all the exceptionals. This way I can fill the normal bods with successful crafts, that are not exceptional, killing two birds with one stone, so to speak. Filling Sets: If they are high fail rate, like plate mail, I will try to find Normals to fill with failures. Otherwise I just smelt failures and keep on filling. Update to filling sets: I now have a craft, then drag/drop by item type to container macro that I can then use the container fill option with bods, to fill exceptional and normal bods with the contents. My macro for flipping drags bods by type onto the exact target (the NPC) and pauses then requests and order and accepts it. I loop that and pay attention for AFK gumps.
I use a trash barrel for all my BODs. I've yet to run out space and it's the best way to help keep item count down!
I did mine like this: [each line is an individual book or numerous books if one fills up.] Premium specials(mask dye bods, smalls and larges) Non-premium specials (anything spined/horned/barbed that doesn't produce mask dyes) Premium flips (spined/horned/barbed footwears) exp 10x cloth smalls exp 15x cloth smalls exp 20x cloth smalls exp 10x cloth larges exp 15x cloth larges exp 20x cloth larges normal cloth smalls normal cloth larges CBD footwears (10x and 15x exp footwears) exp 20x footwears normal footwears normal bone smalls normal leather smalls [no studded or bone] exp leather small (10, 15, 20) flips [no studded or bone] CRAP leather largers CRAP bone/studded (I had tons of these books)
Used to just use a small handful of books to organise my tailor bods, now they're all split and stacked on tables in my vault. Male Leather Larges, Male Leather x20, Male Leather x15, Male Leather x10 Female Leather Large, Female Leather x20, Female Leather x15, Female Leather x10 Studded Large, Male Studded x20, Female Studded x20, Male Studded x15, Female Studded x15, Male Studded x10, Female Studded x10 Bone Larges, Bone x20, Bone x15, Bone x10 Large Footwear, Footwear x20, Footwear x15, Footwear x10 Cloth x20, Cloth x15, Cloth x10 And a book for each cloth large bod. I was using 3 other books as well, one for spined, horned and barbed, but my old system of books has kinda taken those over for the special leather. Large x10, Large x15, Large x20 Footwear, Leather, Studded, Bone The 'In Progress' book, and one book for cbd smalls yet to be filled, and another book for cloth flips yet to be filled. These last few books I just keep in a bag to grab em all at once, and the cloth flips doubles up as 'get these bods outta my damn backpack!' book since it's probably th most used. And once I fill the cbd smalls I just put them in the cloth book of their size if I don't have all the parts. All cloth 20s except th town crier 5 piece get flipped. Smithing I've kept simple for now with 4 books.....Large, Helms, Shields, Smalls. The helms and shields books could probably be emptied into th smalls, but until I gather enough, they'll stay that way. After that I'll probably just sort them by metal type. Run now.....get rid of those bods and never look back.....
