Razor is unlikely to ever need an update and if it does, UOR is probably going to have some custom form of it, so the built-in update check is worthless. Also, Razor can sometimes hang while checking for this useless update, often at the most inconvenient times. To make Razor load a bit quicker and avoid potential timeouts, here's how to disable Razor updates.

    1. Close out all instances of UO and Razor.
    2. Win-R (hold down the windows key and tap R), input "regedit" (without the quotes), and press enter.
Note: Improper use of regedit can severely mess up your computer. If you want to be extra safe, make a backup of your registry (file, export, name it, and ok).
    3. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Razor.

    4. Double click UpdateCheck.
    5. Change the value data to "020391E8A569A689" (without the quotes).

    6. Close out regedit
