1v1, 2v2, and CTF events would help out a lot around here. Not to mention bring in new players.

I think it's awesome that you're posting this info for all to see and discuss.

Dunno about anyone else, but I would love to see these scheduled PvM related events occasionally fall on non-holidays. As I imagine many of us are, I'm usually tied up with family stuff around these times.

What does experience mean? Account age? Or stat/skill levels? (or tbd?)

I think he means based on the experiences we've shared regarding fighting those bastards.

Day 1 we were gating banks. We were asked nicely to leave Ocllo out of the book, and were told it's fine to keep doing it (assuming we leave Ocllo out) - so we removed Ocllo runes.

Day 2 we were gating dungeons (Wrong included, during the Harrower spawn) and we were told we can't do any more gating until it's patched out... even though it was to a friggin DUNGEON of all places!

Panda House will have a day 3 soon enough, we will respect the Administration's request to wait until the patch arrives.

Yes, by all means I don't want this to sound like a "we were treated unfairly" - Chris was very polite about it and I totally get the angle he comes from - wanting to see his product grow and thrive.

We DO assume some risk at gating because anyone could easily come through and put up a fight. You can't instantly kill several people at once the way we were doing it. Razor targeting is adequate at best. It's not our fault that the UOR staff has made houses very Trammel like, that was a change made before we even got here, why shouldn't we benefit from it like everyone else does?

For the record though, there were 5 people on 4 IPs using a total of 10 (of 15 possible accounts) accounts at the time. What we did took coordination, it's not like we had an AFK script running while we went off and played another game or anything like that.

Gideon, I don't think Pork is a recall miner, that I know of. Perhaps he's overboard on the assumption of risk, wherein there is none when you have 10 characters in a house with the ability to ban/kick people. However, the rest of his reply seems to indicate that he's cool with the gate changes and will continue to be a baddite PK despite not being able to gate trap (as easily).

I personally like the mining changes (the trolls I'm assuming?). It falls along the same lines of why we PK. The mining changes may help with people who run their miningbots regularly and kinda sorta monitor them. That can help the economy, by either reducing the growth of the ingot support or by putting the ingot sales into the hands of people who are actually a bit more attentive to their macros.

Don't act like the town fishing was all we did. We literally did it for 2-3 days, for no more than a total of 8 hours across the 2 days. I also have no problem with the change to gate fishing. In fact, if you look at what Chris said, clearly we had no issue holding off on what we were doing until the change was in place. I feel it's a really good change. Now we can do this guilt free.

I see a lot of REWARDs on this shard with abundant quality farming locations and easy access to information and starter help for new players. There is a reason I play a PK and not a red PVPer - there is a role that was all but absent here.

Most blues sit in their house experiencing no risk, avoiding consequences, and earning platinum. We're doing all of that, and burning short term murder counts, and getting loot. We're being more efficient with our use of online time.

History Perfected physical damage anytime soon? Where we can actually kill people? Get rid of tinkering for faction trap removal requirement? Add stamina drain to the War Axe (been reported over a year ago)? I see a trend here...
