whats the difference between a gold runic and an agapite runic.. one makes more powerful items than the other?
Gold runic makes weapons equal to +15 of Vanquishing (+9 damage). Agapite runic makes weapons equal to +15 of Vanquishing-plus-two (+11 damage). Beyond the damage per hit, weapons of agapite runic strength cannot be found elsewhere in the game. Whereas a +15 of Vanquishing can be found on monsters, in treasure chests, etc. The faction blessing allows you to use the weapon for 3 weeks without losing it upon death. After that, it's just a crazy strong weapon you can use at your risk, bring to events, etc.
Just so people don't get the wrong idea, this is from Telamon's guide to factions: Faction blessing last two weeks after which the item becomes an ordinary non-blessed item.
It only loses its blessing upon being equipped. I had a blessed hammer locked down in my keep for over three weeks and it didn't become unblessed until I equipped it.
I'm not sure what's more insulting: the suggestion that I don't know how the mechanics work, or the suggestion that I'd be dishonest. Also, I've sold 19 of these in the last two months, and haven't received any letters from the BBBB (Brittanian Better Business Bureau) yet. Blaise, that's an interesting observation. So, it has some practical deco implications... you could presumably lock down a blessed weapon on day 20 and it would look "blessed" as long as you never re-equip it?
I wasn't suggesting you are being dishonest Dalavar. I think most people know you're an upstanding citizen on the shard. After chatting with a few people who believed it's a 2 week period, and then reading Telamon's guide where it says 2 weeks, I think its understandable how one could get that impression. Simple as that.
1) you JUST bought a hammer from me and maybe 17 minutes later made a new thread using it to under-cut something I offer. I'm astounded that you would come into my thread to "sigh" about your undercutting being undercut right back. 2) your thread went out of its way to remind people that you "have everything you need in this game", so I figured you wouldn't mind potentially losing the business. 3) selling things cheaper than other people is what I do with EVERYTHING. I am literally the cheapest place to buy every single smith reward I have. It's branding, it's what my customers expect.
Blah blah blah, your thread was two pages dead already. It's ok. Sorry I stepped on your decayed business that you had left alone. I'll check with you next time I advertise something cheaper than a thread you let die over a month ago. Had you given any indication of wanting to bump this again, I likely wouldn't have bothered making my post. I still have everything I need in the game but purple is an incentive for barter if the item is purple enough. It's not like what we need is relevant to your sale either. You've already posted your trifecta of endgame in another thread, lol.
No need to apologize; I wasn't the one who seems to have been offended by the raw display of capitalism at work here. And FWIW, I link to this thread in my signature, so it's in every post I make. I try not to bump posts too much. As for my own goals - if only I was so easily contented! In the next couple of weeks, I expect to post my most complex (and hopefully, most helpful) UO guide I've ever written. Then there's the ongoing issue of finally training a wolfpack. And finally, finishing marking and decorating my first ever rune library, which I expect to require the entire first floor of a fortress.
Well, in any regard, glad to see prices coming down. I was hoping to get more folks equipped with high end weaponry for CTFs so hopefully they will do so, regardless of the purveyor. I wasn't offended by a 'raw display of capitalism', I just thought it silly that you would bump/update your thread after reading my charges were for sale. No one goes shopping in player signatures. They go shopping in the trade forums and if you're services are still active and readily available, keeping them on the first page is not uncalled for.
