Can I ask that we as residents of Sosaria in the times of UO:R please remember that there is a distinction between the Helpers of Father Christmas (past and future) who are known as collectively as Elves and will normally be a named creature i.e. Snowball the elf and the free roaming cousins of both varieties always found as singular creatures either An Elf or A Dark Elf. As I reminded all participants of the Secret Santa Event this year, those pesky elf's get up to no end of mischief around this time of year cavorting with the Ice Golum's, Snow Vortex's, learning Archery, Magery or weapons skills and calling themselves Rangers, Battle Mages and Knights and are constantly freeing my reindeer. Thanks in Advance, And kind regards Father Christmas
@k1w1uk sorry my Father, but what are you trying to say? Snowball is an impostor? He is using this mixed armor and dead robe to make us think he is a occlos`s newb? he could be a elf infiltrated to watch our behavior during the year ? Or a dumb sosarian elf cosplay? I dont know, his santa`s boots raised me some suspicions.
Yeah unless you want to fight trash mobs for trash loot then you have to go the bard/tamer route. However, you can't have it both ways unless you create areas that pets can't enter and the acoustics are too poor... and that just wouldn't be Ren enough.
Fighters / dexxers are actually the main pick for several vets around here. You can Ironman AMIBs, lvl7 tmaps, Xmas scrolls, or risk it in the outer world with lesser slayers and farm just as quickly as tamers. Hard part is really building up a good collection of slayers. It does take longer then making a tamer +2 bonding slots. The investment is well worth it though
Sadly fighters/melee are heavily out favored in almost any good MMO when it comes to soloing. WoW tried to correct this by 100% balance for all classes and actually broke the game imo.
As long as you have provo or an ossy tank. Straight fighter that tanks w/ parry is weak to high end tho.
I just placed a marble taming house in the desert..think I will take the easier route.. even the Zoo Keeper quest looks easier than building up a slayer collection.
I think it'd be great to have a mount that could tank some decent hits with the ability to heal and cure itself without magery. Nothing extreme or anything, just something that doesn't require high end taming and carrying a large supply of bandages when farming. I believe the Cu Sidhe does this on regular servers and you even have to raise it's healing. But that's a pipe dream of mine. Ossy tank is awesome, but Keza is a special breed who has the patience of dealing with several pets. I enjoy busting out my dexxer every once in a while and going ham on normal everyday spawns like daemons, lich lords, evil mages, etc... It's fun 1 shotting evil mages with a power repond hally. At the same time, players can make challenges out of it too. There are no bragging rights to taking down a balron with pets.. BUT, if a dexxer, even a bard dexxer takes down a balron, well that player deserves a spot in the hall of fame.
I can personally vouch for Snowball, as he spent nearly all of Christmas 2017 helping me out. True he has been mischievous/malicious in 2018 but there is still hope for him. I would trust him a lot more than one of his Pesky un-named cousins. The point is really to remind people that there's a difference between Elves and them pesky elfs/dark elfs
Dexers aren't completely nerfed. You just have to use more then the weapon in your hand sometimes. Wandering healers are not only your friend, they are badasses, just keep healing them while the both of you attack. If you can, pull an elemental out of a cave and get them to help. They handeled the turkeys and elves very well. A wisp if you must.
