With so many Gargoyle Pickaxes in my mining homes I wanted to review their worth. I used one pick axe so this will not be a great review but lets play the game anyway. With using one Gargoyle Pickaxe I was able to acquire the following: 111 Iron Ingots 546 Dull Copper Ingots 237 Shadow Ingots 71 Bronze Ingots 57 Gold Ingots 24 Stone Ingots 9 Sand Stone Ingots For a total of 1,055 Ingots 3,362 gp 6 pieces of amber 4 Star Sapphires 9 Rubies 8 Emeralds 7 Diamonds 7 Sapphires 3 Citrines 3 amethysts 9 Tourmaline Not a bad return even if you are buying your Gargoyle Pickaxes.
I use to mine with gargoyle pickaxes a lot and when focusing on valorite and verite veins, profit increases significantly. For example, max gold from stone elementals (according to compendium) is 150gp. Max gold from marble elementals is 650 and I have gotten some decent silver slayer drop from them as well. The profit from the ore elementals (dull elemental vs valorite elemental) is also worth it.
Not sure because I use to get platinum from elementals; though not lately, but there is that little chance of more profit. I do think there is a decent return on them.
