    So... Like...

Could I place a chest (obviously not locked down) on every tile of the CY to block all existing runes.

    Then...

Have carpeting "locked down" (omg platz!) on top of every chest.

    Then...

Mark on top of the carpeting.

    Clean slate CY?

Ya that would be the expensive way. Alternatively you could place chests everywhere and only lock down a few table runners high up that allowed you to fall onto your roof. Then you have a new "cy" in which you can recall to and have access to your house, which would be 100% secure.

No problem. And while we are thanking our inspiration...

This one forum message was actually my inspiration. It got me thinking on how to properly utilize the lockdown. Ty Dalavar

Nice! Just make sure to keep sending those royalty checks on time :)

Snapdragon had a two-tier courtyard built, wherein he had a "secure" section and an insecure section he'd gate into. For me though, there is huge value in being able to keep people out of the courtyard entirely, because it helps you maintain many more Earthquake-proof tiles in the house.

You could even make a couple of floors in your courtyard if you wanted to. I mean like some double- or triple-decker housing, with one player per floor. They could mark inside their "apartment". Homeowner could mark their "floor", then block any walking entrance to it, and just give out the rune to the inhabitants.

Heck, you could theoretically live in your courtyard and never actually use the interior of the Fortress itself :)

Oh man, so many ideas... you could set up a few platforms in the courtyard that did not touch each other... mark runes and give them out to multiple co-owners, and block off the interior of the house with things that can only be chopped by the owner. Then each player would have an access point to their area of the fort, but not able to go into other areas...

75 plat for a 3 level platform like this, given you build the levels on the roof and just use the cy lockdowns as recalls in. Although I'm not sure what the overall height max is.

I think the world stops at 127 or 128z of height. But I mean you could have entire sections of the place blocked off, like this (big gray rectangles are ovens or something):

    Pssh...

I was the one who convinced you why you needed a house with a CY in the first place!
