I'm always spending my gold on new horses to afford something like this, but I guess I would hold some fundraising dinners to get some Swamp boots immortalized. And a platinum mail box oh and um.. the shepherd's crook used in the first 'sanctioned' UO:R caning? haha. I've had some great memories here
Oh well I might be able to afford a memorial piece of dead wood or maybe even a memorial nuthatch statue.
That'd be a really neat way to build the history and commemorate players. It'd be easily extensible too - if (when) it fills up, there's no reason there has to be just one Hall of Heroes. They could be scattered throughout the land, just like Shrines. I don't know how effective it'd be as an actual gold sink.. prized "goal" items like this I think tend to encourage goal-based farming. It would probably act as a net sink to the world economy, but not nearly on the scale intended.
It's not like players utilized every building in every town. Perhaps players could choose which town to commemorate themselves in for 5m+ gold.
