Use a pouch for you regs, precious loot and simply use "magic trap".

If a thief try to snoop it, you will get a nice "explosive" warning and time to move away.

It is also useful against paralyze spells :p

Try this: Set your object delay to super high, lets say 10,000 ms. Then drag that cloak and see what happens. Heck, drag as many cloaks as u can in 10 seconds :)

    Incorrect on both accounts.

    1. Do not set a macro for it... leave that to the novice
    2. When the opportunity arrives... PANIC! The excess adrenaline helps.
    3. Now that your motor functions are enhanced by the onset of panic, frantically reach for your keyboard
    4. Type out the magic word... score a bonus if all caps, power bonus if partially capped, supreme bonus if misspelled
    5. Admire your work

This is indeed doable, and it comes from years of playing as a thief.

All you need to do is set object delay to something high and drag the top pouches out of the way. You can easily move 20+ pouches to get to the bottom one.

Never bothered with layering to hide an item. Usually cast magic lock on a chest to secure contents. Not sure if it works but seems to. Limitations to going that route.

Also worth a mention - as I found this out last night courtesy of a character called Vonix - you can be PK'd in town (permitting you're not in the young program) if there are no NPC's around and you're not quick enough with the patented @wylwrk "guWARFS" method.

I was walking from the armourers to the bank and caught a tasty EB to the head.

I survived the encounter, initially, but then got guardwhacked a minute later accidentally looting the corpse of Vonix's victim - a character not using the "guWARFS" method, instead of Vonix's bountiful guardwhacked corpse.

Lesson learnt! I then hopped a gate and found a sweet little new hiding hole in Brit so it was all worth it in the end.
